@@rodrigosobralnogueira3881 Hey Rodrigo, i'm one of the producers on the mix (ED-209) my personal interpretation of it is that Chillwave has more of a washed out kind of sound. Synthwave has a very clean production ethos; the beats, bass, synths etc are all very "shiny" whereas in chillwave it feels more like it's been recorded to an old tape. This might be complete BS but it's just my take.

I remember hearing this when it came out, had just finished finals for all my classes after everything switched to online for coofid. I was smoking a shit load of weed (an addiction I finally conquered) and playing Mordhau and Warzone. Holy shit the memories that it brings back just listening to this and reminiscing. The nostalgia physically hurts. My life has changed so drastically since then. Life is the craziest rollercoaster of ups and downs, but the memories we make along the way are the unwaivering constant that we can collect and cling to. It's funny how even in bad times we still make fond memories, we just don't realize it until we look at the upload date on an old song or playlist. An old song or playlist that we swear we first heard only a few moments ago...

The first track reminds me of a cool sunny summer morning, cruising down a back road with the windows down and letting the wind through your hair. It's about 11:30 AM and you are on your way to grab some lunch - you don't have work that day and you have the next couple of days off as well. You are going to the beach the next day with your friends. Simpler times :D

On one ear I listen to online classes for my masters in design and on the other I listen to this from another system. People in my class remark that I have a serious expressionless face, lost somewhere and they tell me to put up a smile...lol. It enhances my focus. Should be a standard part of any curriculum.
