I was in group therapy around the time 'burger king foot lettuce' became a meme and one day we went to an adventure park that had little garden beds placed everywhere for decoration and one had a wooden peg sign in it that said "Photosynthesis" in curly letters with flowers all around it and for some reason we found this fucking hilarious. One kid says "number 15 - photosynthesis" and it became this running joke where every time we said it we would drag out the word. Peak comedy to a bunch of 14 year olds

He's got the same vibe that made me quit working at a psychiatric museum at an actual psychiatric hospital. We got a new manager and instead of teaching about the brutal techniques and horror the patients went through so as not to repeat it she decided to focus on sensationalizing the 'ghost stories' because it drew more attention from suburbanite idiots wanting a sense of goosebumps. When we started doing overnights for 500$ and letting ghost hunters in I lost my shit.

Chills is one of the most down to earth dudes I've met through KZread. But I think a better way to think about it is he makes intentionally barebones/dry content. It’s like meta entertainment for people who recall all the sensational early days of the internet. You used go on youtube and see raw cuts/rough around the edges click bait. Now everyone takes themselves super seriously. KZread now has a creator for every niche fulfilling the role at a professional level. It's almost like nostalgic for me. The dude is hilarious imo.

Bro exact conclusion I came to after watching a handful of his videos.

I feel like Quinton is one of few KZreadrs who, when doing a video like this on another KZreadr, really pauses and considers the toxicity of the platform and how that effects people. I respect that. Being a KZreadr sounds like a nightmarish amount of work, and it's important to remember that when discussing a person's videos. It's a more humanistic way to approach the subject matter rather than "lol Chills is cringe lol"

He said the point of his video was that he couldn't tell if Chills was stupid or a grifter. What would the gift even be? He makes videos. In my opinion, the video was needlessly critical. Not necearily needlessly critical of his videos, but of Chills himself. There's also that off-handed remark about "theater kid bullshit" as a way to describe an amateur short film. Which is just mean and hipocritical coming from a KZreadr. Or that lady was actually having a psychotic episode, and Quenton dismissed her, saying she's faking it, which is even worse. In my opinion the video is very toxic.

i think chills' process is just 50% making videos appealing to kids who just learned about creepypastas, and 50% chills not taking taking what he's doing seriously to maintain his sanity. im not trying to invalidate the points you make, because i don't see any entertainment value in it myself either aside from his meme energy, but it was kind of funny how genuinely angry you were at him at some parts of this video

Chills for me is like a guy who tried to make unnerving content but somehow accidentally makes it comedically good because not because the content but the way he spoke it out

Anyone remember the one Chills Slender Man video where Chills is like… “check out this totally real video where this college dude doesn’t notice Slender, but his girlfriend is totally freaking out…” and the comment section just went off on him like “dude, have you been living under a rock? How do you not know that’s a Marble Hornets clip?”

The hypothetical scenario was genuinely one of the most beautifully done analogies I've ever seen, it's genuinely impactful and gets the point across very clearly. That alone already warrants a like, holy Schlitz.

I like how in the video that was just a leaf, even what was said was ridiculous. "I was out in the woods and heard a chirp and thought I was going to die." Birds definitely fill me with an existential dread anytime I'm near them.

First off, loving the Defunctland Sweater, I need one. Second, the Revel Sidesteps are my favorite frames so far in the video and I don't see anything being better. I need new glasses soon and I use GlassesUSA and EyeBuyDirect exclusively so I think I might grab some. The purple is so so so good. Edit: update: I am immediately eating my words. The video where he calls that girl in the subway a creature is hands down my favorite. In the same video he also calls a CGI moth monster video scary, a guy walking in a gilleysuit a monster, and a promotional video of The Flash running through traffic a “mysterious creature.” Honestly one of the best pieces of content.

I've run into him looking for true crime, and asking in the comments why he took his Xanax cocktail and waited for it to kick in before he turned the camera on

Me: oh- whos this guy- Quentin: hes this guy (plays "number 15") Me: (whispers) burger king foot lettuce...

Something I noticed that really bugged me was how awkwardly he phrases things to avoid saying kill, death, die, or anything like that. If he's talking about a serial killer he'll say they 'caused 12 people to pass away' or something along those lines.

@@Lore.n That's the reason given but people say that about literally everything. I think a lot of KZreadrs vastly exaggerate how restrictive it truly is. Honestly I'm so sick of every KZreadr going "this might be demonitized!" Like they're doing the viewers a great service by bringing that up. I hate how often they talk about it. Like, at the point where you're not saying "death" or "kill" when making a video about serial killers or whatever then don't make the video in the first place.

I'm going to side step his voice, I have no idea if it's fake or not, nor do I care very much. used to watch his ghost videos a long time ago, but in the past 2 years I dropped him. It was due to the increase of clickbait in titles and thumbnails. I can't stand a video that feels like its testing both my patience and intelligence.

One thing I can give him credit for is he's kind of a good sport about it, there's a couple times he's laughed off jokes and he enjoys the meme status. Also he's one of about 10 remaining KZreadrs that haven't gotten into that type of drama with the borderline doxxing and "noooo fanbase please don't go over to them and spam or anything" they do. I choose to believe it's a character and he's just having fun. Though I wish he was more open about it just because I think a couple million of his viewers think they're seeing real ghosts e.t.c.
