Chilling Video Captures Ex-Kazakh Minister Beating His Wife to Death | Vantage with Palki Sharma

Chilling Video Captures Ex-Kazakh Minister Beating His Wife to Death | Vantage with Palki Sharma
The trial of a former economy minister, Kuandyk Bishimbayev, has gripped Kazakhstan, sparking conversations about domestic abuse. A brutal CCTV footage, played in the court, shows him dragging his wife, Saltanat Nukenova, and then punching and kicking her in a restaurant owned by one of his relatives last November. The trial has created a massive uproar in Kazakhstan, where about 400 women die from domestic abuse every year, according to the United Nations. This figure is believed to be higher as many cases go unreported. Will this "trial of the century" change the way Kazakhstan deals with domestic violence? Palki Sharma tells you.

He is one of the most powerful here, like he was economical minister , and he owns the restaurant and was beating his wife to death in the VIP-room, where no camera. Well, apparently , there were witnesses, the waiters were there, but he sent them home, and called his cousin to try cover up his murder, and told him to delete the CCTV footage. I'm from Russia, and we watch here this case with high attention, as we have the same law problem. Domestic violence is decriminalized. You know, the thing that shocked me mostly is that his mother protected him in the court. She asked for understanding for her son who was forced to be violent by his wife's behavior. I can understand that there are monsters in the world, but I can't understand a woman who thinks killing other woman is OK. Mother is always mother, ok. She could support him somehow privately if she wanted. But her public speech in court was disgusting. By the way, today he got 24 years in prison for his crime. Just it.

Not just in Kazakhstan. Also in russia, it is not acceptable but tolerated. I did some digging why and it has something to do with mandate military training. Some of the men were trauatize, and they want their partner to live through their trauma , is like a subconscious thing. Those people are despicable. There was a man in russia who cut off his wife hand. It gotten into news cus the dudne literally machete his wife hand. If u search more domestic abuse in russia, u will be shock. How many the statistics. Like i said it is too much that they just tolerate it. Not all men were abusive but some. Also, the sad thing is the woman will develop a trauma bond to the suspect and the abuser will put a negative affirmation into the victim mind and make them live, separate from their families and friends, also incapacitate them from earning money so the victim are dependent on the abuser so they won't run away.

it was caught on security camera and published, that's why we got to know it. Otherwise, she's be another victim swept under the rug. There are powerful people in many countries who murder and never get arrested. I forgot the name of one British lord who abused and killed children all his life, like more than 70 or 80 of them and the information was only leaked out by the end of his life. It was hushed for decades. They watched him kill children for decades, but an English lord was above the law in their view. There are thousands upon thousands of women and children who died from the hand of such maniacs in upper echelons of power across the world. Not only those crimes were covered up, but in some elite circles the right of passage is to commit a heinous murder and get away with it. In fact they think the very definition of elite is not paying for crimes. When someone loses their elite position, their crimes can be prosecuted again. In this case this Kazakh minister lost his position, because Nazarbaev he was working for, got ousted and slowly his elite circle dismantled. That's why they felt free to publish this video and talk on TV about it.
