Chiller working principle | English | Animation | HVAC

A water-cooled chiller is a refrigeration system that uses water as the cooling medium instead of air. This type of chiller is typically used in large buildings, such as hospitals, hotels, and office buildings, as well as in industrial facilities, such as manufacturing plants and data centers.
Water-cooled chillers offer several advantages over air-cooled systems, including greater energy efficiency, lower noise levels, and improved environmental control. They are also able to operate at higher capacities and can cool larger spaces more effectively than air-cooled units.
At the heart of a water-cooled chiller is a compressor, which pumps refrigerant through a heat exchanger to transfer heat from the building's interior to the water. The water is then circulated through a separate heat exchanger, where it absorbs the heat from the refrigerant and carries it away, either to a cooling tower or another heat exchange unit.
If you're in the market for a reliable and efficient cooling system for your facility, a water-cooled chiller may be just what you need. Contact a trusted HVAC professional today to learn more about the benefits of water-cooled chillers and to find the right system for your specific needs.

    Hi, I am wondering if you could do a study on the vaporizing of CO2 stored in huge CO2 tank for process use. My company uses a lot of CO2 for our process. Liquid CO2 is vaporised using a hot water balh before it could be used. Is there any ways to harvest the chillness from the vaporising CO2 for used to cool our cooling tower water return?

    What does it mean water from ahu for water chiller?

  • @zebralearningsenglish-pn6fl

    @zebralearningsenglish-pn6fl

    3 ай бұрын

    That's mean, the water is coming into the chiller from AHU. The chiller is cooling the water and send it again to the AHU. The AHU is like a fan motor which is using this chilled water to cool down the room. If you have any doubts please ask. Thank you.

    There should be a correction in this video that, In the Evaporator water flow through the shell, not the tube. In the tube refrigerant gas flow. In the other hand, In the condenser water flow through the tube and refrigerant flow in the Shell. Plz correct it if possible. This is the mistake in this video. I think so.

    @@BUTLERENGLISHNo, the refrigerant won't flow through the tube. In Evaporator chilled water flows through the tube and in condenser condenser water flows through the tube. Refrigerant only flows through the shell.
