Today, we will be preparing raw celery for freezing and later use. It cannot get more simple than this. Wash and dry your celery, cut it to desired size and put into a freezer bag or a plastic container, chuck it raw in the freezer for up to two months. Blanched version can keep frozen for up to a year, but I am preserving all that water as we are going through a major draught here in Barcelona at this moment.
The beauty in simplicity of this kitchen hack is that you don’t have to thaw celery before using it. Simply take it out of the freezer and use it like it is in your blender for in a smoothie, add it to a soup, stew and any other dish you are making.
