Children's Treaty 7 Land Acknowledgment | Flannelgraph

The Library Land Acknowledgement has changed. These videos will be updated in the near future to reflect the new wording.
Have you ever heard of a flannelgraph? Calgary Public Library uses flannel or felt boards and images cut from fabric to help tell stories. This flannelgraph was made by Trissa Meguinis and animated by Catherine Cartmill and Peggy Walden to help us learn the Library’s Treaty 7 Land Acknowledgment.
You are welcome to use this Land Acknowledgment in your classrooms and communities to help acknowledge the original caretakers of the land we now call Calgary.
Thank you to Calgary Animated Object Society for helping connect us with our filmmaker, Patricia Anne Duquette.
