I never realized how permanently drunk Roope both looked and sounded (although I'm certain he was shitfaced in every one of these scenes.) He just has that "super drunk guy" voice, attitude, and style. I can only imagine the amount of "Perkele!"s he's shouted in his life.

They grew old, they are not drinking almost at all anymore and Roope drank, and still is (See him sometimes in the suburb pub nearby). But that's just my opinion about Roope leaving. Roope has his own story and the rest of the guys has theirs. You can read it in Alexis new biography book which they are translating to english now :)
