Great film. Has some cane tramways from around the 11 minute mark too.

Why can't we go back to this period in time? Where new and exciting developements were promoted in film like this. Everything was about building, creating, bettering people's lives and giving the average man the opportunities necessary to succeed. Unlike today where everything is too hard and there has to be studies upon studies as to whether or not something can even get off the ground. Thank you for giving me something decent to watch on youtube. Cheers

Adrian Nettlefold, Adrian When I left school end of 57 I worked on some farms at the Settlement doing various jobs. One was picking up the smaller roots etc and placing them in heaps to be burnt at a later date.Stripping cane getting it ready for planting . Back in them days you could not walk down the main street of Childers on a Friday night Saturday morning for workers The good days.
