Sucks that NC and Phelous had a falling out. I don't know the details of it and it's none of my business but it really does bum me out. It also sucks that Allison won't be doing any crossovers with Doug as well. Believe it or not, I used to work with her at a video store called Hastings Entertainment back in 09 or 10. Honestly even with its problems, child's play 2 is probably my favorite in the child's play film series. Really cool visual effects and action scenes, really nice acting from andy's child actor like a surprisingly pretty good child actor, kyle is a really cool character too.... among other things honestly. As silly as it is, I really do love it a lot and constantly watch it whenever it comes on television. I do still need to watch a lot of the series, but so far it is my favorite.

On all the missed opportunities for a soul transfer he really wasn't in a position to do one. As you saw in the end it does cause a storm to manifest and any reasonable adult would see to Andy's safety. So he pretty much had to make sure he was alone or at least isolated so someone couldn't get to him quickly.

You guys don't seem to understand that Chucky is not a Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees type of villain. He can't just walk in and do what he wants when he wants. Chucky, due to his small size and lack of strength, has to sneak around. You keep saying he had plenty of opportunity to transfer his soul into Andy. When was that exactly? Most of the time there were other people around so he couldn't do it.

Chucky did not have ample opportunity to transfer his soul into Andy like how they're claiming. In almost every scenario, someone else would have interrupted the transfer and possibly kill or incapacitate him. Chucky was aiming to isolate Andy so there would be little opportunity for distractions; it's not him "wasting time" like how Phelous and NC are nitpicking.

Phelous was one of my favorite reviewers on Channel Awesome alongside Brad and Spoony before he became a lazy, raging asshole, and his joint reviews with Brad provide the most snarky, meta combo ever. It's a shame Nostalgia Critic had people "spy" on Phelous's work ethic, as there was never any need to question it. Phelous did those effects for free, and Doug should have appreciated that without being passive aggressive about it. Here's to a VERY underrated guy who seems like he'd be a cool dude to have a drink (or smoke) with and bitch about crappy movies with.

I feel like this movie was trying to reference the Twilight episode "Living Doll" by featuring some of the same story elements ( i.e. A questionable father figure who doesn't like his adopted child, the doll acting as a foil for the child by hurting/killing adults who mistreat him, the doll killing the father by making him trip on the staircase). It seems to be trying to incorporate some of the same psychological horror elements that made "Living Doll" terrifying and interesting, but not understanding how to make it subtle enough to convey that.

Despite not reprising her role Catherine Hicks was constantly on set for the sequel to see her husband, Kevin Yagher, who operated the animatronic Chucky doll. At 84 minutes, this is the shortest Child's Play movie. Chris Sarandon was originally going to reprise his role as Det. Mike Norris from the first film, but his scenes were cut from the film due to budgetary issues. Christine Elise's film debut. Jenny Agutter has said this is one of the worst filming experiences she's ever had. The Good Guy doll Tommy is named after original Child's Play director Tom Holland. This sequel was released on the 2nd anniversary of the original Child's Play (November 9th). Originally, Phil and Joanne were named George and Mildred. Adam Wylie's first film role. This film is the debut appearance of Adam Wylie. Body Count: 7. This movie and Seed of Chucky (2004) are the only films in the series in which Chucky does not get shot at any point. Charles Grodin, Jeffrey Jones (who would later co-star with Chucky's actor Brad Dourif in Deadwood (2004)) and Tim Matheson (who would later play Henry Kaslan in Child's Play (2019)) were considered for Phil Simpson. Both Kyle and Grace Poole strongly resemble Karen Barclay and Maggie Peterson from the original film respectively. Like Karen, Kyle has short length blonde hair, while Grace, like Maggie, has brown permed hair. Like Maggie, Grace gets murdered by Chucky.
