the reason why I got really hooked on this drama is because it's not like typical k dramas where the guy is perfect and all. I got hooked because no one knows whether Yoo Jung is really good or bad, and because he's the male lead, u just don't know, u kinda expect every male lead to be good, whereas this one u just don't know. And of course hong seol is not the cute everyday girl, I like that.

yeah I'm also hooked with this drama I can't remember how many times I've watched this everytym I miss this couple I just found myself starting to watch this drama from the beginning.im just so sad because in the movie of this drama only park hae Jin stayed in the old cast.,...hope their movie will be great too and will have a satisfying ending...go oppa,...saranghae.,..

If there was at least one more episode or even just 15 min more of screen time showing them getting back together then I would have been satisfied 😭 I know they'll end up together cause they did in the webtoon but my heart is not satisfied cause I didn't see it in the drama and I didn't read the webtoon so I don't have a big attachment towards it but ughhh it's so frustrating.... I think we can all agree that this drama did not focus on the leads. Jeong and Seol do not have that much interaction as it should be, but that is also the reason why we love every bit of their scenes together. It became too precious that we want to watch them over and over again.

Yes and i would have loved to see more interaction between the leads instead of inho and inha being psychos.. and the other classmates (not all but most) who were also classified psychos.. same with the parents so welcoming of inho when they know inha tried to kill their daughter.. that is very impossible because if that was my daughter.. inho and inaha better hide their azz.. and inho acting more like stalker coz he is always around seol..

The two leaders of this drama did not interact in the film so much because there were some problems related to the sympathy and favoritism that existed between the director and the male supporting actor Seo Kang-joon who was favored by him. In the drama, this is very clearly observed from one episode onwards. From what I read, the script of the drama was changed on the spot, the main actor Park Hae-jin, not being notified about these changes. They simply ignored him. He was so upset that at the party that was held at the end of the drama with all the staff, he was not present.

I watched Cheese in the Trap over and over again (skipping some scenes) and still cant move on with Yoo Jung and Hong Seol. And I never ship Seol to InHo. Sorry but still cant see any reason why I have ship to him to Seol. I see where Yoo Jung is coming from. He felt neglected by his father just because of someone told him that his son is weird and he actually felt that his father favoring and believing what Inho and Inha said than his. He felt betrayed by his friend when he heard him badmouthing him when he's not around and never saw either Inho nor Inho felt guilty about it. Some so-called friends are just sticking to him because they need something to him then they badmouthing him when they dont get what they want from him. That is really frustrating and I know how it feels like. I can relate with Jung that is why I understand him. And Seol loves him and understands him. Maybe Seol see whats inside him. 💙

I couldn't agree more. Just finished the show a few days ago and this couple became instantly one of my favorites, because they are so different. I could really understand Jung too. Most of the people around him were hypocrites, fake friends who they just used him and how important is that they didn't treat like that only him, but Seol too, because they were weird according to them. Amd this is why imo thry fell for each other, they were very much alike. I don't justify his actions but i understand why he acts like that.

I've watched all dramas of KGE, but i feel this drama has greater chemistry between KGE and PHJ than KGE with her other main leads in her other dramas. though the ending made me upset, this drama still my first best drama of KGE

First ever drama that i never, even once rooted for the second lead. Jung and Seol is perfect for each other. They heal and complete each other. I know most people hates Jung but I think this drama somewhat did not dig deeper about Jung they focused more on the second lead. The writer took Jung for granted but I really understand where he is coming from. He was being told how to act all his life, never allowed to make mistakes or get angry, and people just want to befriend him because they want something from him. It took a toll on his personality, he does not know how to get angry because his father never allowed him to be himself..then came seol who is the same with him in most aspect but expresses her anger in another manner. Both of them struggled to be someone the society/people wants them to.

Christine Jones true! Both leads gave justice to the role. Its my first Park Hae Jin drama and I must say he is a good actor. I actually just watched this drama because of Kim Go Eun but i actually loved it. I was just disappointed because I really think they did not gave much attention to Jung's character. But is it nice that never even once that Seol's feelings got swayed by the second lead. She was and always have her heart to Jung💙

In Ho is a good friend to Seol and I do enjoy their camaraderie but just like you pointed out Seol was very clear from the beginning about whom she would choose. It upsets me to see comments where people are very forgiving and understanding towards the Baek siblings but are not willing to extend the same courtesy to Jung. They do not see anything wrong in In Ha's and In ho's betrayal that destroyed Jung's ability to trust people and form any deep human connections. I'm so glad he met Seol who could heal his wounds and help him open up.

Can't move on with this drama it's been 5years and still hoping for season 2

this drama is not a typical love based drama. it's different.and tbh i love this story line soo much it's reflects different kinds of people. idk why some people didn't like the ending but for me the ending was what it makes it special the sad ending was needed. in real life not everyone you love stays but you still love them. that's what it meant.i loved this drama.. it's beautiful in it's own way.

In original webtoon ending, Yoo jung weeped because he sincerely wanted to say that he loved her without any ill will. Then he asked her You don’t like me anymore. but Sul understood him, they reconciled. In Korean webtoon, there is a scene that career woman Sul had a date with Jung. But drama was came out before this original ending, so Director didn’t know how to make ending. I hope this will be a reference for you guys

Но в то же время, финал дорамы хоть и мега грустный( Но поучительный. Единственное что мне сильно не понравилось - это черт возьми ожидание в ТРИ ГОДА-_- Когда ты любишь человека, а они оба до сих пор любили друг друга, это очень трудно. Это ощущается как вечность. Мне тяжело представить, какого было Соль. Представляю себя на ее месте и становится очень больно, ибо это мега тяжело. Не люблю в дорамах когда делают такую огромную временную паузу -_- Но и в дораме они в итоге будут вместе, намек в конце нам это доказал) Только что пересмотрела вновь дораму, моя самая любимая

I've never once felt like the writer is trying to make jung the bad guy she actually humanised the character very well! full of mistakes but full of love just like how seol viewed him the writer did which actually made him one of my fav characters in kdrama

Jaiden for me is tht both of them are the cheese you knw...love starting to blossom and stuff...and yet the ppl around them, friends, coursemates, neighbours.etc has to come and do something like a trap....causing all kinds of obstacles for their love...XD

this drama is very unforgettable but also underrated. The ending is satisfying thou we really did not see how the main leads was able to catch up after the incident. must watch!

after reading the webtoon.. i got interested in the drama. its a bit different from the webtoon! but thats what makes it more interesting and beautiful! the drama cant be made exactly like the webtoon. it would be cheesy and corny. anyway, the drama is very well organized, smooth, and the osts are fit. directing is nice. the female lead isnt fake or tries to be very cute with aeygo. they dont do the typica piggyback when the girl is drunk. they dont fall on eachother like every other drama.this whole reasons are what makes this an outstanding drama.

im sad about the ending,. they should put Yoo Jung-Hong Seol parts more than In Ho..

I have just finished watching this drama today... It took me only 2 days to finish this drama.. Such a beautiful and herat warming drama.. I love the way their chemistry is showed in this drama.. I am feeling like I can watch this drama again & again

One of the best k-dramas and one of my favourites. Park Hae Jin is absolutely brilliant. This drama made me his forever fan.

The only kdrama that doesn’t give me the 2nd lead syndrome..im totally rooting for jung and seol till the end😭😭😭i mean they are perfect for each other, and how jung slowly change to be a better person because finally there is someone who can see through him w/o asking for anything in return😭

In the first episode I think Yoo Jung is a bad guy, but in the next episode i change my mind, he just a human who have many scar in his heart and he have a strong reason why he do a bad things to his friends. And i just “oh my God, I have a bad memories like him” so I’m in love with Yoo Jung ❤️

이 노래는 딱 유정선배 테마곡 같아요. 드라마 보신 분들이라면 공감하실거에요 가사가 유정 본인이 쓴 것 같다고 느낄 정도라는거.. 치인트 여러모로 여운이 길게 남는 드라마인 것 같아요. 2016년에 본방 챙겨보고 매년 계속 재정주행하고 있네요. 처음 봤을땐 유정선배도 좀 사이코같고 또 백인하도 마냥 짜증나는 악역인가 생각했었는데 계속 다시보면서 놓쳤던 감정선들이 보이고 스토리도 이해하게 되니까 재미있네요ㅠ 유정선배나 설이나 백남매나 다 제각각의 상처를 가지고 있는 캐릭터들 같아서 공감이 되기도 하고 마음이 아파요.. 열연해주신 배우분들 모두 감사드리고 좋은 ost 만들어주신 분들께도 모두 감사드립니다. 치인트는 제 인생작이에요:)

Although majority thinks Bek In Ho is the best for Seol, I root for Jung and Seol. Jung needs Seol because of his twisted personality she is the only one capable of changing his ways and as for Seol, Yoo Jung helps her a lot if you disregard his bad side, you will realize that they suit each other. If you have read the webtoon you would understand more. They constantly grow together maturely and thats why i like the story. Not focused on lovestruck highschool couples but on college students that faces realistic problems and solves them rationally.

My heart just melts every time with this scene 3:04. It's just everything for me, the way he said it, his voice, the way he looks at her like she's everything to him. Gets me everytime

The series challenged my moral compass. How the consequences of our actions can actually ruin a person... How childhood trauma/betrayal causes major trust issues to someone. And it also teaches us the essentiality of human relationships ❤ (Seol x Jung forever 😍😊🤗) And the ost is such a comfort to listen too ❤

I really enjoy the university life in this drama cause it's almost similar to mine. Go Eun is the best actress ever with a natural beauty, and there's only her who can completely express Hong Seol's characteristics. I love Hae Jin too since he's an ideal male type to any young girls. I have never thought they are acting cause their chemistry is so reallll 😘

Is it normal to come back here every day? I can't get over this drama. I want fearful second or at least a special chapter with Park and Kim

Whose still in 2020, I can't get over with this drama. Oh, How I love all of them.

She trying to understand him, wanting to stay by his side no matter what and he wanting to stop hurting her and taking some time to heal just so she wouldn't suffer. Yeah ! That's Love !

This drama was played when I was in university. I wanted to watch it so bad but people keep on saying that the ending is too bad and hence I did not watch it. I'll get stress, sad and disappointed as well as longing feelings if I'm not satisfied with the drama. But only last week I started to watch while waiting for Kim Go Eun new drama and this drama was literally among the best drama that I've watched. The storyline, the plot, the characters (Jung and Seol), I can relate too much with them. Only if I watch when I was a student, things will get better. I truly understand Jung and Seol actions. This is not a normal drama where the main lead is all sweet and nice person. It shows the colors of mere human and how the other counterpart help and criticize him to be a bigger person. I truly loves this drama and disappointed that only Park Hae Jin was casted in the movie. Btw, I grow to likes Park Hae Jin and he is too underrated. I wish him for more success in the future.

omg. i watched cheese in the trap because same reason as yours and also kim go eun is only the reason why im watching kdrama. ive read the webtoon afterwards because im so in love with the characters. i love both the webtoon and kdrama. i was not disappointed in the ending. for me, it's still a happy ending. and after watching it, i started following Park hae jin. but i havent watched the movie yet. im afraid i will feel jealous for Kim Go eun because she was not the lead in the movie

This drama was good....super good. The ML was "sick". But I think he was made "sick" by his father. Always thinking about his position as his heir and what people will think of him and the company. And once people know who he is, he's treated differently. Everyone wants something from him or wants him to do something for them. The only one who really got to know him and brought joy to his life was Seol. She really tried to understand him. They were happy but each time someone torpedoed their luck where Jung Yoo immediately used his "demons" to smooth everything out. That's why he had to leave...to work on himself and come back to Seol in a better version of himself. Because love was there between them for 100%. The brotherly love between Beak In- ho and Jung Yoo was also there. Too bad it was disrupted because Beak in Ho really loved him. The bad person was Beak In-ha. Done watching this drama for the first time: March 21, 2022

Yoo Jung is my favorite character. It's really a pity how some people don't like him because of how complex he is so they don't understand him. Actually for me his complexity is what makes him interesting. But I guess it's not for anyone. Park Hae Jin did a splendid job portraying him. He is such a great actor. Hope to see more of him in the future. Anyway Park Hae Jin and Yoo Sung were too good for this drama. I also liked Hong Seol and it's actress Kim Go Eun. The rest was meh. I can see it in any other drama.

I find Hong Soel is the most attractive character portrayal for Kim Go Eun. No offense to Ji Euntak and Jeong Taeul lovers 😀✌️ Hong soel, even in her awkwardness, her seemingly boring life without the appearance of Jung, but above all her faith and enduring love for Jung is so appealing, and KGE was able to portray all those emotions in this drama without cringing (except when she tried to kiss Jung in the car, but still find it so hilarious yet sweet). This drama of hers officially convinced me of her acting prowess not Goblin, though I really love it, then The King solidifies her standing in the acting business. She’s a powerhouse, PERIOD 💯

When I first saw this drama I was new in kdrama. I know about Park Hae-jin is the main lead character. On that time I did not know other actor's name or work. I didn't know it was Kim Go-eun as Hong Seol. When I watched Goblin I love her work in that and try to know about her. Then i know that she is the main female lead of Cheese In the Trap. She looks so different on both dramas. Love her acting on both drama. She looks perfect as Hong Soel and also perfect as Ji Eun-tak. Love both dramas, watched them more then 4 times and know will not board to watch them again.

I really love Park Haejin and Yoo Jung's character. Jung is not the perfect male lead like any other k-dramas, that's what makes me more curious and liking his character more than Baek In Ho. It really hurts to see Seol sometimes takes others' sides (Inho's) than her boyfriend's, but I really hope this couple can stay together until the end of the story ♡

I've watched several of Kim Go Eun's dramas & I have to say that there has not been a chemistry as good as hers and Haejin's. I'm currently watching The King and just finished Cheese in the Trap. The way these two mashed so well put this drama together. a lot of people fail to see why Yoo Jung turned out to be the way he is, but if you looked deeper you'll realize that all he really needed were people who would be real with him. i didn't like his character at first & thought he was an asshole to Inho. until i got to the episode that explained why he became that way, and i was torn for him. i get that people might say he could've confronted Inho about it, but we have to remember that he's always been taught to suppress his feelings. he was healing because there was someone like Seol who didn't treat him like a monster, someone who allowed him to express even when it was harming others, someone who understood past their initial judgment. & sometimes everybody needs that to heal, to have a self-realization instead of someone who tells you you're wrong or weird all the time.

finally, i found someone like me who understood jung and seol's character. my heart breaks everytime i read a review saying that they hate jung. they just didn't open their hearts and minds to fully understand why he turned out that way. and they just didn't open their eyes enough to see that jung was really trying so hard to be a better person not only for himself but also for seol who loves him unconditionally. this drama will always be one of my all-time favorites. ✊💖

I cried a lot at the end of ep 5.... there are lots of people with similar personalityYou can't blame him entirely. He is not completely at fault. Yoo jung does what he thinks is right, the people he wronged aren't exactly angels themselves. And he has been changing for the best...

I'm still bitter at the fact that they didn't focus more on Seol's and Jung's relationship towards the end 😭 and i wished Go Eun took the role as Seol again in the movie 😭😭😭

The director was concentrating more on inho and inha.. ending was so disappointing.. why show them whoo caares.. spotlight should have been jung and seol..

I loved how he always understands her mood, her feelings and her thoughts... I loved the scene where he answered to her thoughts to invite him to her apartment "I would love to, but next time" or when he answered to her thoughts if he forgot about their first kiss "I remember everything, I did not forget it" :) Oh Yoo Jung you are melting my heart.... I totally loved his character and Kim Go Eun is just a great actress... The Coin Locker Girl brought me here....

The great thing about Ost's is that they make you want to watch the whole drama all over again.

I just finished watching the drama yesterday and I regret not watching it soon! I was told that the ending was not good that’s why I didn’t watch it. 😁 After watching this, I became fan of Park Hae jin. And this drama is one of the best for me ❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉

+AttaliaNx yea exactly.. people are just seeing his surface and hating him..but they need to fully understand him and dig deep. he is very misunderstood and vulnerable.. and its not like he does anything bad to people.. people always use him cause he is rich and all and he knew he was always being used and he has just grown up in a way of never trusting anyone and also being able to find the evil doings of people around him and use it to his advantage whenever it is needed or called for..if you check it..he never outright does anything bad to anyone.. he usually always just happens to find out something very bad that they did and then threaten them with it so that he could help seol for whatever it may be.

Probably one of the best KDramas ever. Not too cheesy, sooo relatable, I absolutely love it!!!! I can't wait for a few years to pass so I can rewatch it again

Indeed. Its about the essentiality of human relationships and how it can improve us for the better 😊 its a simple story but this drama will always have a special place in my heart.

I've seen so many Kdramas in the past 5 years, I still love to come back to see all clips from CITT. It was one of my favourite stories, Yoo Jung and Hong Seol are the types of characters I would put in my drama if I made one. She is so simple and like many other hard working students who have dreams and ambitions whereas Yoo Jung is so different other than coming from the rich family he has it all but somehow both find the interests within each other. I would have liked the ending in the different way not too cheesy but at least to give Hong Seol the chance to meet up with with Yoo Jung.

I love this drama! Its one of the very first drama I've seen that Park Hae Jin was in. I know a lot of people aren't happy with how it ended and not everybody likes Yoo Jung.. but I felt like I could relate so much in how Yoo Jung thinks and his behind the scenes action that he'd do for towards the person he truly cares. Although he was very cold and scary at the beginning, he's one of the most protective and pure soul when it comes to caring and protecting that person he loves and care. I really liked Yoo Jung's character.. its just a matter of time and patience in order to communicate with someone like Yoo Jung. Also, I can't help but fall in love with Baek In Ho's character! He is the definition of the ultimate boyfriend to have! I love them both, Yoo Jung and In Ho. They have taught me a lot about different personas and how your actions can have an affect on others. CITT IS ONE OF THE BEST DRAMAS IVE EVER SEEN!

to me Yoo Jeong is more an introvert. The toxic and psychotic cases are the other people like those stalker guy, copy girls, that sunbae, Baek In Ha and so on...except Seol's friends, I can't say any one is normal.. All the others, even BIHo was annoying sometimes especially in the beginning. Only later when he started working and understood what a real life struggle is , he became a lovable person. Yoo Jeong could not express his real character but he is someone who can be relied on and is caring. His real self was masked by his cheabol image and good student image. I can relate to him and even though his actions like taking care of things at backstage caused misunderstanding, he did not purposefully hated or bullied any one. He is more normal to me than anyone else. Isn't it we all wanted a person whom we can lean on and be there for us?

The best korean series for me ever. This is the first time I've never fallen for a second lead man, just Seonbae and seol was really my bet at the beginning. In the first episode you can see how this series was so very interesting and worth to watch. You would not think that lead man has such that kind side of him despite of how he face to others. Thrillingly, as in all your expectations for the relationship it gives justice in here. But still, I can't imagine that would be the end despite the thrilling moments in their relationship. Eventhough it's has been a lot of years later, i hope this would have had season 2😭. Pleasseeeeee, but this time a happy ending nowwwww❤️

@@kashinathadvent3247 I didn't felt anything for him at all. He was just a fist bump and grumpy guy who's ready to fight at any moment given. The only time me I felt pity for him was when Jung made those guys break his hand. Seol anyway didn't treat him more than just friends.

Park Hae Jin is such a great actor. His talent needs more recognition! I'm hoping to see more of Hae Jin oppa in the future 🙏 Part two of Cheese in the trap, jebal? 😭

Park Hae Jin's smile is to die for!!! He rarely smiles in the drama but when he does, it just gets me feeling some way.
