Opening the portals of the engineer I had the biggest party when the chieftan appeared, I celebrated and everything, imagine my disappointment when I went to look for my tier 9 and I don't find it, when I realized that it was this medium tier 8 it was the biggest disappointment, I I didn't even know there was this tank at the event.

hahhahaha poor kid u have been *FOOLED* by one of the *old and effective tricks* by the companies' *advertising their products* to *FOOL* *unsuspecting customers* . Same nation, 3 tanks have Chieftain names on it. You have been carried away by your excitement only to get an inferior ones. The only give away that the overpowered chieftain at t10 had an complete name of T95/FV4201 Chieftain minus the proto word :tier 10 T95/FV4201 Chieftain not the Chieftain/T95 in tier 8 and FV4201 Chieftain proto tier 9.

@@christopherestes6760 the wt e100 event brought two more tanks to the game. One of which is the tier 9 Chieftan proto. I got it and can say its just inbetween those two, not amazing not trash, balanced

WG makes players to think that they will get their hands on the op chieftain at tier 10, the tank we always wanted to get,by buying or grinding only when the player realized they got an inferior chieftains in the end. Scrutiny is the key as to not being fooled

I feel like the Chieftain/T95 isn’t that bad. Just because it has a cupola it’s bad is like saying Renegade is bad. Obviously, renegade is way better. However, if you try to fight only mediums with ur superior armor and decent speed, you can be really effective. Also if u know how to hide ur cupola using gun or just wiggling (same tactics for e5/renegade) then it’s pretty good. I only rely on the armor against mediums or lower tier tanks.

Main problem with the Chief/T95 is the horrid gun handling coupled with the mediocre alpha. Can't have a decent tank without a decent gun unfortunately.

@@cinatiropel True, the gun does have some to desire but its bearable. Though, a gun handling buff would probably help solve most of the issues IMO

@@cinatiropel Gun handling is not that bad compared to some other premium tier8, even mediums. this is when only looking on dispersion, and accuracy. what is a problem is the the gunhandling combined with low pen values with standard and especially with gold. the Centurions have similar alpha but 226 pen on standard. some other 240 alpha tanks have higher standard pen at about 210mm and significantly better gold at 250+mm.

Best way to Buff this vehicle (and make it also more historically accurate)? Make it kind of a low-damage 122TM. What do I mean by that? Well, make the gold round the standard ammunition and add a HEAT-shell for gold. Why should you do it? Well aside from the obvious buff it would provide it also would be historical. The turret is from the t95e1, wich was the USAs first tank with a smoothbore-gun, the T-208, that fired primarily APFSDS (dart -sabots, but WG treats all sabot-rounds as APCR) and HE. Adding a heat-shell could be possible since the HE was straight from the M48s 90mm IIRC, so.... With this, the tank would be a good ridgeline sniper that, while not hard hitting, would be able to penetrate almost everything it faces while still having huge drawbacks, like its size, the big cupola and the hull being made from hopes and dreams. Removing or changing the cupola on the other hand would make it very OP, since the turret doesn't really have other weakspots besides the 2 pixel gunners viewport, and it would create a hulldown monster

You guys can’t just yolo a ridgeline and expect results. There are specific ways to hide your cupola or play with good tanks with cupolas (like E5, T95E6, Renegade, etc). You can’t go, play like an Emil or S. conq, and then blame the hatch when people hit it at close range bruh. i recommend watching kajzoo’s e5 and T95E6 video, he shows very well how to play with tanks that have cupolas. I’m not saying T95 Chief is the best tank ever but don’t play it incorrectly and then blame the hatch, just some friendly feedback

Wtf are you talking about? I can fix my tracks in my sleep 4->5 or 4 if using large repairs. Done it in 10000 battles takes less than a second. Am I a cheater?

The Chieftain T95 reminds me of the 59-Patton. A tank that would be pretty decent if not for the tumor on top. The 59-Patton has a condo sized tumor. If those were smaller on both they would be more playable.

I got the Raumpanzer in the WT event. It's like the tier 8 Chieftain but without the mobility :-)

Several T8 low alpha (below 300) singleshooters would be more balanced if they got a reload decrease so they would have a higher DPM in comparison to some bigger alpha guns. More similar DPM to caernarvon, kpz 07 RH and shptk tvp-100 which also have low alpha but still are viable because of the DPM and gun handling.

Lol, I was just literally talking about this tank in clan chat about how nobody was talking about this tank, I'm actually really enjoying it, gun seems decent, getting a surprising amount of bounces from the armour, even the mobility seems decent. .

You can easily imagine how this tank would look like without thath cupola. Same turret armor as the Centurion 5/1. And oh boy... Huge difference between them. Centurion 5/1 feels much better.

It has Chieftain in the name, players will want one. Thanks for showing it off.

If somebody could make WG to remove this gigantic coupola this tank would be balanced or if they could give it 360 alpha gun

My biggest problem with this tank is the gun, if the gun would have slightly better acuraccy, instead of 240 alpha there would be 280 with 260 heat as gold round it would be fine. I don't even mind the cupola to be honest

230 vs 460 for the skoda t56 , thats a big differance in alfa , plus he can hit you twice while you waiting to aim your first shot

I played the T95 loads when I first got it, & did petty well. However whenever I take it out now it feels like a Pinyata... You gotta play it smart. Plus the gun misses loads!

They won't. Recently we had IS-3a Peregrine in auction. Also IS-3a was already in Christmas lootboxes

The "good" thing about this tank is that is easy to deal with the mastery missions from the campaing ..... is very easy to get ace on it .... you just need to play it half right

I am now glad that I didn't get one of the Chieftans or the KV4 TD. I got the Emil 1951 and it's a much better tank.

Skillman, this Chieftain Jr. is best left alone. We already have a Standard B, and a premium Tier 9 Kunze Panzer. Unless players desire to grind ruskies and want to train a crew in it I think this glass cannon should be left on the shelf of bad ideas.

skill i respectfully disagree with the cheif/t95 rating it is a good tank not great but good if you respect its limitations and play to its strengths i remember when i first got it almost 7 years ago it was dreadful unplayable bad and it only got award status not primo so no bonus credits ..it was slow inaccurate we all felt like we got screwed because it was a huge award it is a second line support med if you play it as a opportunistic shoot and scoot play you will do well not epic but well i think it needs the 3 star rating its not for everybody but experienced players can make it work

Cupola sniped deluxe= it's not good

230 alpha is really shit. There are many tanks with 400 alpha and large number of tanks with 300 alpha. You might have dpm with the small guns, but you need to expose your tank far more often to put the dpm to use and the big guns only need to get lucky 3 or 4 times to send you in to garage. Small guns need to land far more shots. Its fine if you can sit and shoot, but most of the time you cant. Also biger guns come in autoloader form and then small guns dont even have the rate of fire advantage.

I want to be very clear. If this tank is not a 1/5 I don't know which tank is. Watch Skill's 2nd battle that encapsulates my experience with the tank. You make a maximum effort to play with it and if you manage to do 2k damage you are happy but at the same time feel like you had to climb mount Everest while with other T8 tanks you do 2k effortlessly. Alpha damage: ridiculous for 2022, just 230, makes trading unviable against practically ALL vehicles except T6. Ability to play hull down destroyed by cupola the size of a UFO. Ability to make money 0 because regular ammo can't pen the lower plates of heavy tanks half of the times. DESPITE the extremely low alpha bad aiming time. Gun very unreliable. The combination of the things make this a HORRIBLE tank. Stay away from it at all cost.

It would be interesting to see wargaming offer two cupolas so you could have a bigger one for more view range and a small one for less view range but harder to hit

I mean ratings are subjective for instance i hate leo pt a gun its terrible and its ratet 5 stars, also amx 13 90 is epic for me its terrible tank

Look at 'real' British tanks and see how many of them ever had a cupola the answer I strongly suspect is nil - so where did this come from? I don't have a problem with made up tanks but at least they should reflect how the country they came from designed their real fighting vehicles. By the way I am from the U.K.

It is a hybrid with an American turret, hence the prominent cupola.

My somua gun looks like much better
