Chief Leonard Crow Dog Lakota Spiritual Leader & Medicine Man

Leonard Crow Dog is a (Rosebud) Sicangu Lakota medicine man and spiritual leader. He became famous during the AIM takeover of Wounded Knee on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota in 1973. He strongly believes all people and Nations will live again in peace and spirit. The Round rock (at: 2:09 in video) in front of him is thousands of years old and has the message from the creator. He speaks of sacred way of life and our children. He believes that we all know bits of the truth. He speaks a little about Cristianity and he believes some but he has doubts that all of it is the truth, especially about death. Leonard's parents knew he would be a medicine man so they kept him out of school and the left brain thinking and training, therefore he does not know how to read and write English. Good Lance, another Crow Dog, began teaching him the ways of a medicine man from an early age. At the age seven Crow Dog was initiated by four medicine men. He did his first hanbleceya (vision quest) at the age of 13. The takeover of Wounded Knee had special meaning for Crow Dog because his great-grandfather, Jerome Crow Dog, had been a ghost dancer and saved several dancers from the massacre at Wounded Knee after receiving a vision. Shortly after Wounded Knee, the federal government began prosecuting AIM leaders for various charges. In September of 1975, 185 FBI officers, federal marshals, and SWAT teams showed up at Crow Dog's Paradise looking for Leonard Peltier and took Crow Dog to the maximum security unit at Leavenworth. The National Council of Churches took up Crow Dog's case and raised $150,000 for his appeal. When his defense team went before a judge to apply for a sentence reduction, there was a long table stacked with letters and petitions from all over the world in support of Crow Dog. Floored by the outpouring of support, the judge ordered that Crow Dog be immediately released. He had already served nearly two years of his sentence. Leonard Crow Dog co-authored of Crow Dog: Four Generations of Sioux Medicine Men. The book recounts family history through four generations of the Crow Dog family. There will be more videos, we are still having difficulties with the 3D footage. Thank you for your support and please subscribe to be notified for more videos.

I am Sung'manitu Olowan, by the name given me by my grandfather, great-great grandson of Little Wolf son of Wolf of the Oglala people. Since a small child I have felt the earth moon and stars movement beneath and about us, heard the whispers and cries of the spirits of our peoples in the lands I have lived and travelled, known since my earliest awareness of our link to the sacred circles of life, creation, and all beyond this sphere and place, to the realm of spirits. I was born with that sense of things, was given knowledge of things beyond my sight, of past and of present and near future. Many of us have and share such senses, instincts and insights, some share them in hope and in faith that others too shall gain from the sharing, passing its goodness and inspiration to others, giving hope of a better day and teaching a better way to all who's spirit is open and receptive to hear the message. I believe brother Crow Dog's is such a message. Should it be shared with those of other peoples? Our world has many problems, it's peoples face many common challenges, our world is out of balance and sick--and so it's peoples, sickening with it. These are common problems and so need to be met in and with the same spirit to resolve them. Thru my mother's and father's families I am of more than just the Lakota people, some of them had bad blood at times between them in the past before they came together sharing their lives and blood: should I refuse to accept know or work with one from among the others because of this, and so not work together in solving a common threat or problem? should I perhaps cut off a needed finger because I feel that one has pawnee blood, or crow? No. Rather all must act and work together--or there is then no hope for even one. There is wisdom to be found in such thinking, and so truth to be found in such shared vision. A'ho.

+Juan Ramirez-DelCastillo I agree with you brother. I came to this land over tens thousands of years ago, was hunter gatherer with my archer husband and soul mate medicine healers we all are. I was born with similar vision gifts and have seen and traveled across past present future, no such thing as time when we are unlimited free energy light beings. I feel the same in my heart mind spirit that it doesn't matter which life whence we come, we come back to help each other...i was born to my mother who passed away 2006 in this lifetime as a hakka descendant of ancient nomadic tribes people who crossed asian continent to populate earth in our migratory nomadic life style. I chose to be born through my mother who was elder leader ruler of Atlantis, when I was still only,a crustacean representative of sea life, and I chose her to become human and she was prophecised to bring me back to north American continent, back home to learn and be medicinemaker, again. I long to go on my walkabout and visionquests. I am learning and to heal myself and want to learn how to use my gifts of energy medicine, powers of healing, visions I have had since being a human child of my mother who is from Atlantis, and I was just a crustacean in the Atlantic Summit before the time of humans, Senate Council, I sat next to the Great White Elephant. We are keepers of mother Earth, now it's job of humans to keep Mother Earth healthy whole, peace and love with in all. Message is important and empowers us to inspire us for our work together in human collective consciousness mind heart spirit constellation energy to heal all. Love is answer to and for all. May the Peace beyond all understanding be with all. Thanks to our Great Ancestor for All there is, peace and Lovejoy light keep shining, keep dancing in our blood, same DNA, dance when we are completely free....,of illusions and delusions of material world, physical plane of existence, and rise as the phoenix to spirit world for healing all. Shalom Namaste Peace be unto all in love-unlimited free energy light being. We are.

You speak the Truth, All is Love, Compassion, Peace, Kindness toward one and another(each other), Our Selfs. Respect is key in appreciating one another's Being/Spirit, because we are All One with/in each other in The Great Spirit, we must/would want to love, respect each other as Our Self-Spirit One(-ness). Thanks be to Our Great One for these words of Peace, Truth. May we all learn and become this Peace/Love/Truth (one in the same), together One in Spirit with our One Great Spirit from/of which/whom we All Are, in Unity and as our unique individual experiences of the Great One Spirit-Being, who is All of Us, collectively, who we are. That we must/want to remember/know in Truth beyond Earthway Living, as Spirit Beings. I am of the Ocean Crustacean, daughter of Linda(Linh), former Ruler/Leader from Atlantis daughter of Kim L'ai granddaughter of L'aì clan, from H'akka ancient nomadic tribe Ùiyghur people of Central Asia/Eastern Europe (from Atlantis), and of the Ancient Druid clans of Western Europe. I am great-great-granddaughter of L'aì nomadic tribe and Zhú families, both of Medicinemakers and Visionseers. I believe and know what you speak is Eternal Truth for all life/living beings. We can feel (sense) and know this Truth deep in Our Being (Spirit-Mind-Heart), Truth/Love/Peace what we are all truly made of/come from, core of our being/Self. It matters not so much which place we call home, land or air or sea, neither families nor tribes, only that we are all of and from One in the Same Spirit to and of our Core/very Being (it)/Our Self. IT is Us anc We Are It/Life/Love/Truth Peace itself, equal to Ultimate Bliss/LoceJoy/Happiness and only by way of PeaceLoveTruth. In the ancient Chinese character, the Center and Core(root) of our Word/character for idea of Love is the Heart (character/word) itself, surrounded by three brush strokes atop the roof housing heart(symbol/pictograph) and the feminine symbol below the heart upholding, carrying the heart itself, the feminine symbol/pictograph brush strokes also used to represent Mother/feminine/Creator that gives birth to Life itself, similar to simple symbol respresentig Peace, ying-yang of harmony and balance, ushering in idea of happiness. Of course, when there is balance and harmony in Peace, in the heart, then there lives also happiness in the Heart, Center of Love itself, (up)holding, embracing, carrying and lifting Heart and family (four-five bruah strokes above the heart/cwnter of Love(pictograph).

I am a white guy, full blood German ancestory. By chance I met Crow Dog in Texas years ago and did a "sweat" with him and a few full blood Native Americans (still not sure how I wound up in that situation). He really seemed to dislike white people back then and did not have the christian slant in what he says. I must say he did open my eyes to a lot of things in that chance meeting and cerimony. I was honestly afraid because I am white and he told me what AIM was and he was part of that, but the experiance is something that enriched my life and I am grateful for. Lakota have a rich history and great culture, never let it fade into oblivion.

He shows to have move wisdom than all ministers and priests combined together as one. The dead will live again, he will see his family brought back to life by the creator. It is foretold, and true. Indians are very humble people, I can't see how any American can say that they own this land. White man stole this land, all of the good land, and almost killed all the Indians while doing it. I feel ashamed when I hear someone taking pride in this country as if it was theirs throughout generations.
