Sure is an effective judge. But keep in mind, he comes from a family of already established line of judges, making him a nepotism enabled candidate to heights 🤕, so no democracy herein. Nevertheless, an effective judge 🙂

Please note it is not just speedy justice that is required but also high quality, fair judgment that is more important. However today it is totally lacking in judgements of High courts. Litigants wait for years but judges dispose of cases with out even reading the petition. Only option left for litigants is to go on appeal but even there situation is same or worse. Please read my detailed recommendation below. Lawyers are least concerned about the flaws in the system but are only after collecting their fee. Regarding collegium system of selection of SC judges it is correct. Afterall a judge has to be selected based on the judgements he had given till then. Who has patience to go through all the judgements he had given and make an opinion on him - Whether he is poor, average, good or excellent? Politicians or other citizens will go by hearsay or impression or on other unprofessional consideration (for eg . My cast, my state etc ) if they are given an opportunity to select a judge. So there is nothing wrong in judges selecting judges. (If a scientist should be selected by other scientists after carefully studying all his research papers published, a judge of SC should be selected by other judges not by x, y, or z)
