As much as am a diehard fan of Baba obey, it is often difficult for me to listen to his music sometimes bcus, in most cases whilst listening, I just can't explain how tears start rolling down from my eyes. His way of composing his songs, the arrangement of the tracks, the Voice oh my goodness, the combination of the instruments, the commanding style of the instrumentalists with him being the lead guitarist. The richness and the use of OODUA language but to mention few. Thank God Baba discovered his purpose on earth and followed it accordingly. In my humble opinion, if Baba had chosen another profession such as medical doctor or so, that would have been considered as a grave offence by God In heaven, but thank God for Baba. I can't just stop loving this man even though I have never seen him in my life. God bless you more chief Obey Fabiyi.

I love u ebenezer Obey ur a blessing to oodua as a whole ..

It is sad to think of years gone when songs like Baba Commanders were all over the airwaves in the same nation that is better known now for wailing, lamentation and agony. The politicians had brought huge plague of sorrow on the nation. But thank God for occasional escape to the saner years with Baba Commandee.

I grew up to love Ebenezer Obey's songs through my Dad listening to his music. And my Dad is also from Abeokuta and he admires Baba Obey. Obey commander, you are a legend and his music brings good memories of my childhood. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. Your music reminds me of home and I do shed tears as it reminds me of my late father. Whenever I miss my late Dad, Obey music is my consolation as it helps me reflect on the incredible childhood growing up in Nigeria 🇳🇬.

I always thinks he should live forever.the first and only time i saw him live was while he was on the bandstand at the 60th birthday celebrations for Chief Rotimi Obeisun at ijebujesha osun state. He was been backed by one of his foundational members the late Baba Giwa ojo Arigidi. It seems i won a jackpot. This track was sent to me by a sister in law in april 2020 at the thick of COVID-19 pandemic.it suits the occasion. Baba Commander has songs for everything in life.I cant see anything in this world hew hasnt sand about.I developed a likeness for him while in primary 6.This was 1984-1985.My elder sister hubby normally plays his song then every morning on the turn table..Very melodious songs and full of impactful messages
