Chickens will do that every now and then it's not something they do all the time

Keep in mind most chickens prefer being outdoors. They can peck, scratch, forage, and eat bugs outdoors. Their egg cycle is also based on amount of sunlight so keeping them in 24/7 Isnt good for them

Whenever I hold a mug my chickens will jump on me to see what’s inside. Not very good when the mug is full of water 😂

Yep exact same sound my mom's hens make when brooding and I grab eggs from underneath them.

I have a traumatized hen. One of her comrades was killed during the night when the coop door flew open. She now waits in a chair by the door to come in at night. Seems pretty smart to me. She will not return to the coop and follows me to let the others out in the morning. I'm thinking about diapers...

@@Marie-eh7hm Craigslist is NOT a good place to get a chicken. They will most likely have diseases and be unvaccinated. Get a chick at a feed store or online (like from a website that specializes in selling chicks, not Craigslist) or you can adopt a rescue.

Chickens are for eating, they don't need vaccines, I just killed two roosters yesterday for fighting. And lemme tell you this, natural is the best.

Perfect! lol I have some chickens who really like being indoors (they're a bit spoiled...) and they always end up pooping inside so we need some of these :/ Your silkie is so cute! I almost got one, but They didn't have any of the silkie chicks... but two days ago I did get two Rhode Island Reds and I love them so much ❤️ Is also have a 3 month old Ameracauna hen and 3 month old Delaware rooster who I sadly have to give away (I'm not allowed to have roosters where I live. He's really mean but I love him so much ;-;) so the other hen needs to have friends so that's why we got the Rhode Island's. Sucks that we have to wait for the chicks to grow up but it goes by quickly! ❤️ nice video

I have 9 bantam buff Orpingtons in my room. I let them out everyday. The boys only crow when I let them out of their little coop next to my bed. After that they are quiet enough to let out back. I used chicken diapers on my first house rooster chuck, a barred rock. He was needy and always wanted to be held. He got pretty big so I settled for minis this time.

I have 2 Serama chickens and I live in an apartment. I hatched them from eggs and they are tamed and we go out on walks and they follow and scratch around. I love them but my neighbours think I have gone mad.

Once a day at minimum.

the ones that look like poodles and the ones with the big feathers on the head look really odd. they must be bred like that for those features.

First time raising hens I have six of them that have grown from Day old chicks are about two and a half months old I would not let them inside because they are dirty very dirty even with diapers they're dirty but they are the sweetest girls they're six of them and they're just very well behaved and I'm thinking about getting a few more but they are very messy b they are easy to care for.. they eat a lot
