Chicken Dance - 1929 | The Archivist Presents |
Apparently, it's Dance Like a Chicken Day today. This is the nearest I could find in the archive but it is absolutely delightful!
Max Rivers shows how he trains Cochran's Young Ladies.
Shots of the instructor standing with the girls. He shows them the steps and they practice. Shots of the girls dancing.

Wow!
The approach of the trainer seems quite up to date dissolves all those many years in seconds
Look at that diversity. Loving it.

really? You do know that it is 2024 today, don't you?
Classic.
My grandpa, Alex Lewis, met my grandma, Lizzie, when he played in a band just like the guys here, & SHE was a dancer, just like the girls here! (They married in 1926.)
Three months before the stock market crash of 1929 and the start of the Great Depression
Chicken Dance - 1929 | The Archivist Presents | #441 0445am 15.5.24 the Cochran's of Stacksteads, no doubt? no idea what the conflagration prior to this skit was in reference to, though...
