So sorry to fefe , I've been calling her phoebe, never again. Fefe looks very much like my cousin Sandy. Marie, the birds were so beautiful, they were bright colors. And just gorgeous. Some remind me of philis stiller, lol. We enjoy you and William and fefe .❤❤❤

I still love the auctions! I watched a channel that I decided to follow after watching a Cog Hill video at her farm. The way she talks to and the way she is with her animals reminded me of you with yours, Sneads Farmhouse Sanctuary. She would tell her pigs to sit for a treat and they would, at night she tells her animals it’s time to go to bed and her animals all go to their specific stall! Also, she has a young goat that she treats like y’all do Wee Man! It is just cute and reminds me of the some of the animal characters on your farm ❤

Thanks again for your awesome video Marie, I enjoy your videos because you always explain so much about each of the birds and what to look for… Like the chicken stretching its neck and beak open which could indicate worms or the combs.. Your knowledge of various types of birds is valuable especially if you are just starting out… So glad your birds did well and that you have some new ones to hatch..

Hey Marie, William, and last but not least my favorite FeFe! Very cool Video! At around the 9:00 mark you were talking about the roosters and their combs. I agree and sadly have witnessed frost bite on combs before, especially here at Pennsylvania auctions. Another reason they can look like that is some bantam breeds like my Modern Games, have their combs “dubbed” or trimmed down early in the roosters life n they can look like that as they get older. I don’t know how or why some breeders do it but I have several retired champion show birds that are “dubbed”. Just thought I’d leave a comment with my like. Hope you all have a great time and stay safe!

13:08 it can also just be allergies (Dust, DE, etc), or it could also be inhaling something or a full crop. It could be many things. If they do it all the time, I would worry, but not for a day or so.

Today is Monday night 2-26-24. I'm trying to figure out where the poultry auctions will be at in Oklahoma. Bartlesville here. I haven't been to Chupps Auction. I know of many auctions. I just know about Poultry Auctions.

My Aunt got tired of her rooster chasing her.she to the shot gun out and tried to shoot the rooster got the rooster and her best laying hen. She was so mad. No one in the family lets her live that one down. That was back the late 70.

What breed was the pen with two hens, and a rooster that was dark rust front and green tail. You said you liked him, and showed the cage again at the end. I think one cage was three, or so after the turkey cage.

Yes and No at the same time. we have the chocolates Orphingtons and one naked neck hen with him. So we hatch out chocolate orphintons and barnyard / naked neck mix. Then we have Polish & silkie hens with a frizzle and frizzle naked roosters over them. Then we have a silkie rooster over silkie & frizzled hens.

Those others shaking their heads are a sign of parasites or illness too.
