Honestly, doing workshops for Universities is a great way to get paid! I say this as someone who worked as a PM at Northwestern (and a few other universities). They usually have a budget for reimbursements, not just the pay for your contracted work, but a whole separate budget for travel expenses.

I'm glad you were able to enjoy Chicago, even if it was only for a few days! It looks like you and Julian had a fun time! I have been following your adventures with snarky cat and cute boyfriend for some time. Keep up the good work! At the last live art fair I did I was very pregnant and he's 27 now...

The green wool ease yarn would make a great chunky beanie. If you crochet, I have a very simple free pattern on ravelry that works up well with chunky yarn.

I have a pretty big thrips infestation and I strongly suggest getting insects that will eat them up. For me, showering my plants and wiping off the leaves were just too much work for me. After getting insects for mine they already look happier. Also, awesome ring of stars! Where did you get it? Thank you for the great blog!
