People reaching, people touching A real celebration Waiting for us all If we want it, really want it Can you dig it (yes, I can) And I've been waiting such a long time For the day, yeah yeah This verse touches my heart today. This is the weekend that gets summer on a roll for most Americans but so many of are still under stay home orders. Even though we are supposed to be able, (in my state) to go to a park to walk, jog or do other exercising, we aren't to be there having a picnic and any gatherings are to be limited to 10. People will reach, people will touch, it will happen but we've been waiting such a long time.

Give “Introduction” by Chicago a listen. Their lead singer and guitarist at the time was Terry Kath. Listen to his voice, he was called the White Ray Charles and he was so good on the guitar that Jimi Hendrix told the members of the band that he felt that Terry Kath was a BETTER guitar player than he was! Terry Kath unfortunately accidentally shot himself in the mid to late 70’s and the band lost that sound and never regained it.

Ron Hillier yeah. Very very very sad. What could have been with him still being around. Kath and a member of their road crew were doing drugs at the road crew member’s home and he was cleaning his guns playing around with them. The roadie asked him to be careful several times while he was cleaning his .38 revolver and he put it to his head and pulled the trigger to show that it was empty. However he did the same thing with his semi automatic pistol and removed the clip. However he did not realize that there was one in the chamber and he pulled the trigger and was killed instantly.

Kenneth Russell that’s not true. Cetera loved Robert Lamm’s songs. It was Jimmy Pankow’s songs -in particular- Old Days, that he didn’t like. Old Days he hated to sing live because he thought lyrics about comic books and Howdy Doody was corny.

I was in the park (Grant Park in Chicago) with thousands of others, and it was the 4th of July, and it was a Chicago concert. Just try to imagine the throngs of us on that hot and muggy day, singing along at the tops of our voices with "Saturday in the park, I think it was the 4th of July"! Sheer insanity! LOLLLLL! A memory that will never, ever be forgotten by any of us there. Chicago in Chicago forever
