I forgot about this for awhile. I was one of the customers in the restaurant the day they shot the episode. I'm the chunky white dude with long hair lol. A few years later and I absolutely stand by what I said in the episode. Mario and everyone working there are great folks; and the food is fantastic. I happened to pop in there one day after I took a wrong turn trying to get somewhere. The place was still trying to get on it's feet at that time and Mario was working two jobs to hold it together. He actually seemed kinda surprised when I said I wanted to eat there that first time lol. I'm super glad I did though. Watching Mario and Monte Casino grow and prosper over the years has been a joy; and I've gotten to eat plenty of fantastic food along the way.

man, it's so damn hard to find legit home made, freshly cooked food in the area i live in, i appreciate and love what this guy is doing, and on top of that, if you're 21 or older you get to bring your own booze!! that's awesome, people will end up saving so much damn money that way

Only been there once, but i remember that guy, he was awesome! and ardmore station (the liquor store) is the best liquor store around, especially if you like craft beers

pld006 I live in Tabasco, Mexico and yea you right we don't add cheddar to our Enchiladas "Suizas or Verdes" which is the original name. It's not in the food becauce it's not part of our cousine but also because of the price. Enchiladas in Mexico go from 10 to 15 pesos the piece so 5 piece with no beans only rice cost from 50 ro 75 pesos.

+eruweraranj0r If there was a restaurant around here that allowed you to bring your own alcohol i would try it out, and if the food was good i would be coming back often! His idea is great even if his family doesn't own the liquor store beside him

I have lived in CA., TX., NH., WA. and AZ. I know what a B.Y.O.B. party is but have never heard of it the restaurant business. What is it, and how is it legal? I have only been through Chicago one time in my life, it was during a cross country trip 20 years ago at 4a.m. I would just like to say, you MFers know how to drive. I merged, I took interchanges, I eased through traffic and I may have made my partner at the type make water. I will be back. This time for the food.

You can always tell if it's Southern Mexican food or Northern Mexican food by the beans. Black beans means it's from Mexico City and down. Pinto beans means it's from Chihuahua and up to and past the American border. I personally like the pinto beans which I think have more flavor but everyone has to try both to decide for themselves. Mexico has the best food in the world: why? You can have tacos in 100 Mexican cities and you will get 100 different tacos. Every city in Mexico has it's own cuisine. The standards might be named the same, but it depends which Mexican city you are in how that food is put together. The burrito was invented in the north of Mexico on the Frontera (border area, both sides). as a package to take last night's leftovers with you to work. The burrito is not something you will find much in the Southern area. If you are planning to go to Mexico, travel to several cities just to taste their version of a taco.

I've been watching this Chicago's Best for some weeks now and let me tell ya'll these Mexican restaurants don't sell originall Mexican food. trust I live in Mexico and some of the tacos are similiar but the other stuff no go.
