Chicago youth program CircEsteem is on a mission to unite kids from all walks of life by fostering self-esteem and community through learning and performing circus arts. Executive Director Dan Roberts explains how the program not only focuses on learning circus skills such as juggling, aerial acrobatics and tumbling, but also provides academic assistance with tutoring and homework. Twelve-year-old participant Sky and former student-turned-instructor Antoinette share how the program has helped them feel more comfortable being themselves.
