In my own opinion no such thing as a British accent. There is a distinction between the accents of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

It was the same when i heard jesse speak for the first time in his aussie accent. I was like holy shit. But then again, the first time I actually saw him was when he played chase on house. So it wasn’t too much a shocker.

His American Accent is so deap his real voice creaps me out

His accent almost sounds strange. I've been watching Chicago Fire for many seasons. And I just decided to Google the actors and I clicked on his and it said he was from England. I was stunned. I just found this out about 5 minutes ago lol.

pete peeters omg I just found out 2 minutes ago and I’ve been watching it since it came out. Another video of him and Jesse popped up and I had never seen him interviewed and I had to pause and rewind because I was soooo blown away! I had to google more interviews of him. He does his American accent so well. I didn’t

Miss Di R. I had no idea that Jesse was an Aussie until I started watching House witch was surprising and now I can’t get that out of my head but Walker’s voice is really different then his American accent

Its not just Eamonn Walker's ability to pull of an American accent. As a former big city firefighter I continue to be impressed with how believable his portrayal of a Battalion Chief is with no actual firefighting experience in his background!

I was also shocked to find out that the actor who played Otis [Yuri Sardarov] is also British. He also nailed the American accent!

I just read he was British so of course I searched for an interview to hear. I am honestly more shocked at the pitch! The higher tone shocks me compared to how deep his Boden voice is. I am glad they came up with a strong deep voice for Boden.

There was an episode where Jesse Spencer dropped into his Australian accent when he was “putting on” an accept for Gabby. Not sure if that was his real accent or if that was his “American doing an Australian accent” accent, but you could hear it

Eamonn Walker is a brilliant actor. Wow, the accent is mind blowing! Love the show, one of the best shows in NBC history.

He was so intimidating and tough until I heard his actual voice!!!

I'm amazed at how his American accent is so rough and raspy while his British accent is so smooth

Finding out Chief is British was like finding out Detective Lance is British-loads of confusion and my brain screaming.

😲 I don’t know why I’m even shocked. The British actors are almost always excellent at mimicking our American accents. Also, is it just me or do they seem to always speaking with a higher pitch when speaking with their real accents?

American accents are the easiest in the world to do. As an English man, I can do them pretty well because we grow up watching Americans on TV our whole lives.

According to Wikipedia his father is from Grenada and his mother is from Trinidad. He was born and brought up in Islington, London.

its the London Islington accent its great he still has it. brilliant guy worked his arse of to get where he is. i remember him when he played a Gay West Indian in In Sickness and in Health he was boarding with a old man who was slightly racist! believe it or not it was a comedy. you should have a look the comedy would never be shown today lol...

@@genesis1765 I have been watching it (ISAIH) over the last couple of months and love it...Marigold (Eamon Walker) is a hero in it and puts Alf (Warren Mitchell) to shame....you have to take the comedy the right way but it might be too much for a few Americans.

Love it!!! It's interesting how Americans in general feel that outside of the south and northeast, there really isn't a distinct way that we talk....however many actors and actresses go through accent reduction training or learn an American "accent". Pretty cool.
