Technically he's only been principle Orpheus since October so I highly doubt that unfortunately

YES ! I thought the same thing when I saw him in February 2023 !

I find it fascinating that this Hermes delivers his lines in this song in the same way that one could often hear from a passionate reverend in a church; especially in the later lines, he almost "preaches" them like he's giving a sermon. It's a very intense choice, and while I don't necessarily love it in this instance, it seems like the sort of thing that could be worked into Wait For Me well with the right direction, since the number IS an intense one!

I feel like from what I've seen from Lillias, she has a similar vibe in some ways, kind of intoned towards gospel singing. Levi Kreis was the first I saw, so it's really interesting to me to see such different versions from his!

absolutely agree i saw him last week and was blown away, jordan fisher is great in the role but im glad i got to see Chibuzeze live! he brings such a specific energy to the character that i think makes you root for orpheus more

He’s my favorite Orpheus! I hope he gets a chance to do the role on Broadway one day

Saw him in Salt Lake last August. He was so good and brought an extra sense of innocence to Orpheus. Loved him.

His voice is absolutely gorgeous. I went straight to the internet after the show to find more of his singing hahha

This song is so much more emotionally overwhelming live. I couldn't believe it when I watched it just yesterday. Wow. Seriously. What a cast.

This cast is amazing. Amateur videos really warp the sound and doesn’t really demonstrate how amazing they really are.

I saw him today in Worcester and his voice is even better in person 😭😭

I saw this exact cast yesterday and after the first act I couldn’t get out of my seat. Everyone in this cast was so absolutely amazing, and when the walls moved I think I blacked out.

I still adore Chibueze’s choice to literally stomp when he says “The falling of my feet and it sounds like drumming”

HIS VOICE IS SO INCREDIBLE!!! i listened to the original cast and i prefer this one much more

I saw him in Denver! I’m really contemplative traveling to another city to see this show again, absolutely loved it!

Met him at stage door. Sweet on top of being immensely talented. His was a beautiful Orpheus!

First time watching this musical and I love it so much! One of my favorite musicals now and he will always be my favorite orpheus

Cast change doesn't happen until October! Nick originally left early so Chibueze became principal early, it seems that's going to keep happening! Chibueze has also been with the tour for 2 years so he probably has more opportunities to do by this time :))

Definitely agree that Nathan Lee isn’t my favourite but honestly Levi Kreis’ Wait For Me isn’t my favourite either and I love everything else I’ve seen from him, so it might just be this. Chibueze is wonderful though.

I got to see this show in NYC and when I saw the lights swinging I was just waiting to see if someone in the first row would stand up because it looked like it was about to hit their heads

Lmao, the lights are perfectly safe for thr audience, actors on the other hands it can depend (3 different Orpheus's have been hit with one lmao) but yes if they stood up they would he alright! :)

Chibuzeze did amazing… Nathan Lee takes a bit to get used to. I feel like he’s upstaging at the wrong moments. Overall, it was great though! Happen to have more of Nathan Lee? Perhaps we’re judging him too hard and he’s actually swell in other parts of the show.

I actually walked out on Wednesday. They have really camped up the show. I loved the obc and the first tour cast was ok. This orpheus was out and his replacement wasn't a strong singer. Eurydice was good singer but bad actress. Idt anyone could ruin Hadestown for me.

I saw the show with Nathan Lee literally just yesterday and I can agree he was a bit much. I still really enjoyed the show but his voice was so much higher than I had been expecting. Overall he still did a really good job but was definitely my least favorite out of the cast I saw

gotta say i’m not a fan of nathan lee graham as hermes. something about his delivery comes off as annoying and carny

@@Brawl483 i was talking about his tone of voice and the way that he overshadows everybody else. levi kraus played a very flamboyant hermes and i loved his interpretation of hermes. my gripes have nothing to do with sexuality.

I dont like this Hermes at all. He just sounds very... annoying. Ihuoma sounds great though.
