Yea it's in the background, you have other beats with Indian influences, most notably the Diwali riddim as you can tell from even the name. This should not be surprising as there was massive Indian migration to the Caribbean in the 1800's, so Indian culture is part of the blend that makes Caribbean culture (food, music etc).
