I've used these shops at every base I've been to. Those lifts come in handy. The guys there are usually pretty knowledgeable too.

Got my ARH, debating if I should spray ceramic coating on them or not. Are yours coated? If not, how are they holding up?

Mine are not ceramic coated and they are holding up just fine. There is pros and cons to coating, while it does help reduce engine bay heat and heat soak. It doesnt put alot more stress on the welds so the headers wont ussualy last as long. Nows thats with older style headers I am not sure how much of a thought that is with neweer free flowing vehicles. What I do recommend is you pick one of the two options but do not wrap them it just isnt a good solution to wrap them.

Yes, havent been able to get over mexico in a while. But this setup does have the stock axle back.

hello..quick question..is this like a place where people can rent a spot with lift to work on their cars? if so, how much do you guys pay per hour or per day? thanks!

Yes, it is for military service members and veterans. Rates vary by base, but usually are $2-4/hr for a stall, $4-6/hr for a lift this includes access to all tools they have.

@@The4drSS first of all thanks for such a quick reply...that's not bad at all, and with tools? I suppose its the basic tools and you are allowed to bring anything else you might need. Hmm now you make me wonder how much these lifts cost...well I'll be looking that up. Have a great 2020 mate.

Negative, with a proper tune it should not. As for the coil pack not being plugged in, it also didnt throw a code because I shut it off so fast it didnt have time tp register.

Did you have to remove the coupling bolt from the bottom of the steering intermediate shaft? I'm stressing about it!

Yes, but its not a big deal just make sure your steering wheel is straight before hand and where you unbolt it slide the shaft up. Of course remember to always follow torque specs when re tightening it.

Do you get alot of fumes inside the cabin?

Nothing that I have ever noticed, I have very little fuel smell at all ... only really at the first morning start up.

Love this car man, I plan on making a video on a walk through of the car and discussing topics of it as a daily driver soon. But to get yoy somen info now, I have owned it for a little over a year and have had zero issues and only thing that gets me is some of the leather quality couodnbe better but thats GM to be expected.

The 4dr SS nice. I’m cross shopping for my next car. And this is on my list. As well as q50 red sport and isF all used tho they are pricey as it lol. Is your ss in the higher mileage end? The lens I been seeing by me are roughly 30-60k mileage range which I don’t think should be an issue to these ls engines right

@@compacheo603 My SS has only 19k miles on it but its engine hours are prolly more near a cars 30k mileage mark. Being in hawaii we sit in traffic alot we also have horrid roads. Based off the other cars you said Id say find someone in your area with a SS get themnto take you for a ride. You wont want anything else 🤣.

I have had one since April 2016, a manual. Stock drivetrain (no intake, exhaust, tune... nothing). I have had zero issues with the car in nearly 3 years of ownership. Mine has 15k miles on it, and spends most of its time on the highway. Mileage is low because when we get heavy snow here in Washington state, it’s nasty wet stuff we call “snowcrete”, and it only takes a few inches to high center the SS. I use the Silverado on those days, and we got an extended nasty winter in 2017 that kept mine sidelined. This summer it stayed parked because I was unable to use my left leg (clutch) due to cancer treatment. Fingers crossed, we should be back to “normal” use this year which is 7500-10000 miles. Anyway... bought the extended GMEPP warranty (see the forum for info), and haven’t had to use it. Car just works. 👍
