Very good video, I'm installing a Curt hitch on my 2002 S10 4x4. Then I'll install the bed extender in the hitch receiver for a kayak. Thanks for the video.

Never owned anything bigger than a Civic before, didn't realize that trailer hitch install was so easy on these. Thanks for this, going to give it a go.

Believe it or not, I bought this truck brand new in '02. I had to order it special - 4.3 v6, 5 speed manual, and air conditioning.

I just did the same hitch on my 2001 gmc sonoma and the bumper doesn't have to come off, took about 30 minutes to install.

Which model impact are you using?

One quick question for world's best uncle. I notice your spare wasn't on during the video. Is it just easier with the spare down or is it necessary? Mine's a 91 and I don't think it's ever been off. Not looking forward to that fight.if I can help it.

This particular hitch does not hinder the spare tire mount (I have seen others that do). In my case, I had taken the spare off when I took off the bed to replace the fuel pump. I just never put it back in! lol

how much are dmv tags for that truck in Tenn. ?

Can you explain the washers again? How many go where?

But how about a front mount for a 1st gen S10?

I noticed the nuts and bolts are included Can we order them online some where if you know just need that

I called Curt customer service and was sent a replacement set once upon a time. I do not know of anywhere online that sells just the hardware kit tho.

Do you think you can give a template of the fins that are going to lernsdas to the chassis, the dimensions in cm, thank you.

I hope you're not in the salt belt! Our local pull a part wants $50 for a hitch, so when I found this one new for a hundred I jumped on it. Good luck!

how do u like them bilstein shocks ?

They've been great. I bought this truck new in '02, the stock shocks began leaking at about 37k miles. The Bilsteins have been on there for 15 years, 130k miles and still holding up.

What size sockets did you use?

I believe they were 18mm. Can't recall exactly.

Hi, I took my bumper off. I forgot to put the bolts back on with the two brackets.

Mine is a 02 V6....Will that same hitch work?

Sold the truck! lol But you can buy the "T harness", they install in 30 seconds.

I also have a personal Dave

It would have been easier if you took off the brackets and bumper save alot of work

Trouble is on this model, you replace two of the bracket bolts with the ones provided.
