Thanks for the video. Bought a refurbished OEM on eBay and they also cut the key for $60. The only difference on my 2022 is I didn’t have to open and close the door to get the screen to come back on. It turned on automatically after the 10 mins. Works great!

Only If you have a cut blade to the vehicle.

Is there a way to reassign a fob? I have two fobs and the vehicle recognizes them as fob 1 and fob 3. However I think it will onlu recognize fobs 1 and 2 for the driver memory settings, such as seat positions. It resets the seat for fob 1 memory but using fob 3 it doesn't carry any seat memory. Can a fob be reassigned or will they both just have to be reprogrammed? Thanks for the helpful video!

Hello, you will need to go through the programming sequence.

What year was this equinox? Will this method work on a 2021 Premier. I matched the part numbers up on the new fob and it says that it can only be programed by a dealership or locksmith. Then in another merchant's site it said it was self programable. So....will your method work on a 2021?

@@mikezaverin Thank you! You are a bloody genius. It worked! I now have a second working key fob for my 2021 Chevy Equinox Premier. I saved a ton of money. Cost was a whooping $30.

I just got a 2022 that doesn’t have remote start any chance adding a $20 key would make it work 😅

You need to learn how to properly do it and not just watch a quick solution that will brick your car.

Way to much talking, CUT THE VIDEO MORE, this could be a 5 minute video. This is a tutorial get to the point. also explain the year model, you said "Chevy Equinox key fob programming" when you should have stated "2018-2024 Chevy Equinox key fob programming" as this video is NOT helpful for older models.

Bro im 9 minutes in, hot car. And still have not learned to program it. Edit: 20 minutes and I finally learned to program it? With all due respect, if you are going to teach people how to do something. Get to the point. List all the facts that are important to the procedure such as this is how you do it with only one fob. And then explain it. We didnt not need all the extra story time.
