Our 2012 equinox had an engine light for the exhaust side solenoid. Decided to replace both for good measure. Not even a month later the cam sensor and ficm (fuel injector control module) triggered an engine light. Hopefully replacing cam sensor fixes the rest of these issues. Thank you 👍

That big silver part is NOT a sensor, it's an actuator. It's important to know the difference.

Thank u for this vídeo 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽as im having trouble with this, initially i had p0013 (which i replaced both solenoids followed by an oil change/filter for my 2016 equinox) butI never would have thought that sensor was hidden in the corner after i received p0017 code😬😬😬😬 hopefully this should be the end of my troubles

Awesome video! Love the wrench placement on camshaft sensor. I got P0014 and replaced both intake and exhaust VVT solenoids. Then got new errors P0016 (crankshaft position), P0011 (intake camshaft position), and another P0014. Hoping this works. Thank you.

Thank you! Hate these newer cars as a mostly brakes/suspension kinda DiY'er, I woulda never found the damn sensor on the backside of the engine without help, and I needed this done tonight before driving 100mi for work tomorrow!

Hi, I did change camshaft sensor sensors, and they are leaking, is they using a sealer or an o ring ?? I already removed them and put it back again, tightening it well, and they are still leaking. I am missing an o ring or sealer?? Help

I FOUND OUT THAT THE B SENSOR IS THE EXHAUST SENSOR AND THE A IS THE INTAKE SENSOR.

It can, But if it doesn't u can manually do it, but if it was the camshaft censor or the or top part censor check engine should go right off

When replacing any "senors" it should be cleared out with a scan tool, their around $15-$25bucks, if the engine light returns then it's another issue somewhere else now.

My equinox 2016 come code p0017 My gear fails and the engine moves a lot.

I saw a video of the same problem but the guy replaced both them on the top of the motor? What code did you have to do this?

The only time I have ever replaced them is for codes P0013 or P0014. I have done a lot of them

They says its usually start at PO0011-PO0014 for the vvt's them other codes is for the camshaft sensors there's only two must be the 15 & 16.

why in the beginning you showed 2 different sensors then the 1 you pulled out

There actually 2 camshaft sensors the other is under high pressure fuel pump

I've owned a GMC terrain with a 2.4 since 2010 and kept up on all the regular maintenance and I can easily say it's the worst engine GM has ever made I've had nothing but problems with it. Cam sensors a&b high pressure fuel pump timing chain failure excessive oil consumption the list goes on and on

My car kept cuttin off smh the codes were P0010 & P0011

@@dbondsproduction mmm okay I was finna replace the damn camshaft position sensor cause I just replaced those vvt valves like 30000 miles ago, but it was doing the same shit as now i just thought it would take longer to go bad
