Well, I'm 6'2'' and the people travelling in the car excluding me will be in 5'6-6'2 range. There might come a time when I will be in the backseat. As you've tried the car, will you recommend this it? especially since there is around 2.5 Lakh discount for the LTZ Manual version. If not, what else do you recommend? Jetta, Octavia et cetera are kinda expensive for me.

Nice review. I am planning to get an used Honda Civic 2011 model or a Cruze from 2010 or 2011 model. The price range between 6.5 and 8L for these two used cars, so I am really confused which one should I opt for. Should I go for the more reliable Honda Cars or this Chevy Cruze. This would be my first Car I am buying from my own, so wanted a better one and I cant afford a New one at this junction. So please provide me your valuable suggestion.

+rajavrmn While both are great cars to drive they have their own strengths and weaknesses! I'll try and put them down and you can decide as per your preferences! Civic +VEs : futuristic looking Interiors, better space, Petrol motor -VEs : Low ground clearance (even for some speed breakers), Fuel economy, its a discontinued car (poor resale)

I recuse myself.....as there is an obvious conflict of interest!

Hey great review Sharan! :) I think I am in love with the car, I have a Ford Figo Aspire TDCi, its a pleasure to drive it, and almost everyone who drives it talks about the bolsters on steering wheels and driving experience. I always loved the Cruze, but I guess now I love it more considering its such a performance oriented car. :) I really loved the end notes, the recommendation who should buy. Cheers! :D

Great review! Although looks is a subjective thing, I preferred the older one to this. Just hope they would have added projector to those headlights so spruce it up a bit. LED's on rare would have done good too. Black interior is awesome and a welcome change from the brown, beige and lighter shaded beige. Hope Chevy brings the new one though..

I had my mind made up on buying this car. I expected the new version of Cruze to be released this year in India. But Chevy just gave the car a facelift, which in my opinion is good but the previous version looks better. I want the Cruze they're riding in the US. Well might just buy an used BMW 3 series. Any advice Cruze or 2013 or later used BMW 3 series driven foe less than 15000 kms.?

I'm really inclined towards buying the 2016 LTZ variant for the solid performance, safety and features it has on offer variant but am skeptical the service and a bit about the resale value currently in 2021. What do you feel would be the perfect/ appropriate pricing if I were to buy it?

Sharan please tell me something..why for ages auto companies in India been fooling Indian customers calling new release models as ALL NEW MODEL by making just minor cosmetic changes? I was really excited to see 2016 Cruze design (the original US one) and was waiting eagerly for it in India but now utterly disappointed with this re-polished one here. I am sure they will continue to sell this facelifted model for next 3 years till the factory moulds in US for the new design reach its expiry date. Then it will be dumped in India to make the ALL NEW Chevy CRUZ 2019.

I hit that like button even b4 the video started. Sharan, if I'm not wrong, did a good review. Liked it, specially that "I have a name to put on test" and "No. I don't wanna be here." I was a fan of Cruze when it was launched and till date. But why did Chevy change the front grill. The car has lost its sporty look. However the review by PowerDrift is always upto its mark. And the new hosts (Aakash, Varun and Sharan) are doing it well too. Keep it up PowerDrift.

1:55, A Hyundai Verna eating dust of Cruze.... :D Man, I love this car. The facelift didnt improve the looks but for whats worth I loved its previous one more... Thank PD for reviewing this car. PS- A small request to review its previous gen. :) That car was a gem in both the looks and the brute strength department. :)

PD Team please consider mixing the audio in a subtle way. The levels are abrupt. It might sound good in a studio setup but on my laptop system, I fear the red level audio might damage my speakers.

Those Leather seats are not even leather mate , its faux leather, you do not get leather these days for that kind of money. Also they are cutting their pricing just to sell more, a captiva 7 seater awd is same price as a 2 wd, 5 seater Toyota rav 4 or Honda crv. If they are cramming so much in car for the same price as competitors , there has to be a reason for that, they do a lot of cost cutting to get there.Golden thumb rule is what you pay is what you get.

How about a tribute to the undisputed speed king of the d-segment 'Skoda Laura 1.8 TSI'? There are many Laura tsi's in India running a stage 3 upgrade. I' d be more than happy to lend you my car for a breath taking review. Laura tsi was the fastest d segment sedan with the best 0 to 100, fastest quarter-mile, hydraulic steering that puts a smile across ur face, and phenomenal braking. It deserves to be reviewed by you guys. Please PD, please review my car or either the Laura 1.8 tsi. Looking forward to your reply.

Seeing you sitting with your kayfabe dad in Maruti 800 sent me into deep nostalgia. I was never that emotionally provoked in recent times. Hope the Laura 2k16 story is true. The mk3 Octavia vrs is undoubtedly the best and the fastest production Skoda. 2.0 tsi in case it makes with a 6 speed Mt (I reckon it won't) would be a benchmark car. Mk1 Vs mk2 Vs mk3 would be my dream PD review. I'd be eagerly waiting for that dream to come true. Keep rocking Sharan!

+PowerDrift In 720 and 1080p, most noticeable at 1:47 for eg, when the rock music (which is apt for such a car) makes your voice just a lil bit harder to comprehend. :)

Please have Rohan review the Skoda Superb, his review of the Octavia was the best PD review yet, in my humble opinion.

unfortunately the designers of this car want to make it more of a family car instead of making it look bolder and more muscly.. the pre facelift version looks way better

The Warranty is changed from 3 Year/45000 Km to 3Year/100000 Km? That is interesting to see.

Quite a lot of factors involved in buying a used car, comrade. Hard to comment either way without checking the car. We'd suggest you take a trusted mechanic along for a test drive.

PowerDrift but that Harley Davidson 1200 costom video is not as good as the remaining videos of power drift..

Great car. When you compare it with the competition, this car stands out in terms of its own strong character and earns respect but only GM is killing this fine product by overpricing it little bit and not providing good after sales and services and hence people afraid to buy any GM's product. Sharan the honest reviewer and a great review by the way.
