@FGH9G
4 жыл бұрын
Yep. It's really sad. Especially Atlantic City. You wouldn't expect a touristy city located on a beach/coastline to be as bad as it is, but good God, it really is. The amount of decay and blight there is absurd. There are literally huge swathes of land, and I'm talking acres upon acres of land located right in the city center where housing once stood, that have been demolished, and are now just empty, and vacant lots. Just plain nothingness.

When the cops came, they picked my dad up and went around the streets looking for the guys who robbed him, and when they saw them, the police ran their car up on the sidewalk and almost ran them over, jumped out the car and beat the shit out of them and arrested them. CIC Beauty TV Me to it’s interesting seeing what life looks like in other cities. I’m from Dc and it’s boring if you been here all your life. I get tired of the same environment. I want to move outta state one day.
certainly see a different side of the USA.

One that's in every city, and most rural areas now, too. Income inequality at it's finest. Growing daily.

Chester is a satellite city of Philadelphia like Camden and Wilmington and they all suffered the same fate. It’s a rust belt city. People used to come here to work on in the factories like Ford, Scott Paper, Boeing, ect.. basically all of those either were outsourced or straight up closed. Then white flight happened and all that was left was poor, unskilled black folks largely from the south with no commercial/financial footing. After awhile it became economically depressed. Then drugs hit hard in the 70s and 80s.. and here we are.’

Night time a whole other story
Coming crom Detroit, i lived in Chester for work lived by the casino. Its definitely not a place to mess around. I wouldn't go ANYWHERE! Unless i had the strap. Being a white guy in my 30s i definitely stuck out. When i would tell people from Philly where i lived i would always get the look. Broke down once even the cops didn't want to give me a ride. I feel safer walking 7 mile then i did in Chester i will say i never had a problem though but im not your average white guy.
Chester high class of 98
