a checkers piece could have moved to f8 and then either moved to g7 or captured the pawn, then the checkers could play waiting moves to put white into zugzwang and eat all the pawns, also some of the checkers should have blockaded pawns

well we do play checkers another way they cannot move backwards, but they can atack backwards(diagonally). also king can move diagonally all the way like bishop, but his checkers brother
