This weekend, Tokyo is experiencing heavy congestion due to cherry blossom viewers, marking the latest full bloom in the past 10 years and also the year with the worst weather over the same period.
Simultaneously, it is anticipated to be the year with the highest number of foreign tourists in the past decade.
It had been raining continuously, but a miraculous event occurred. In the early afternoon of April 7th, suddenly, the clouds cleared, and the sky over Tokyo turned sunny. The first clip of Shinjuku Gyoen was filmed on this April 7th.
I believe the only day we were able to see the fully bloomed Yoshino cherry blossoms under clear skies this year was April 7th. This footage captures that moment.

今年は桜の咲き方が斑な感じでイマイチだと思っていましたが、満開になったら やはりボリュームが凄くで どこの桜も美しかったですね。丁度、入学シーズンと重なったのも良かったですね🌸
