Cherokee Xj Shackle Relocation Kit Install

In this weeks video we’re going to be spending time in the shop fixing some carnage the Rubicon Trail left behind on the Green Cherokee.
The Green Cherokee is getting a RuffStuff Shackle Relocation Kit along with 5” lift Iron Rock Off-road Leaf Springs.
These 5” lift leaf springs should be a perfect fit for the Jeep to replace our old, broken and worn out 3.5” lift leaf springs and the 1.5” lift block.
We’re going to walk you through how we went about this install and afterwards hit the trail to test out our work!

I put a 4.5 RE on my 96 XJ. Wish i would have put 5 inch springs in the front too compensate for the weight of a winch and bumper extra battery and onboard air. Only got a .5 inch spring loss over 2 years. Now i know better for the next build.

Awsome video and channel I stumbled on. I am WAY past this all but i love refreshing my knowledge. I recommend just skipping past leafs with tons and go tins with rear triangulated 4 link and coilovers... not worth redoing and investing twice. Idk my 2 cents.

Thank you! We have two Cherokees. The other one actually has coils in the rear. This one we want to keep leafs…for now 😅

I have thought about doing those no lift relocation brackets but i have too much going on back there. I would need something that welds in and doesn't bolt to the unibody frame rail.

There are other ones on the market that are weld only options, these could be welded to but I opted to just bolt in.

@backcountrybeagles i have about 5" of lift and i don't really want to go any higher but i would like a better shackle angle. This is basically my only option.
