☢️Chernobyl Flat Repair Like😨Did they see us??

Ғылым және технология

I've decided to stay in the abandoned city of Pripyat in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. We've repaired the abandoned flat, restored electricity, heating, and water. Yes, it wasn't easy, but we have made a decision. We are carefully exanimating Pripyat for radiation with a dosimeter.

Even if there wasn't radioactive stuff, or asbestos, or lead, or mold, or anything else you really don't want to be breathing it. At the very least you need a nuisance dust mask to keep it out. A respirator would be better while stuff is flying around. At least until you can cover everything in a thick layer of paint or two.

Wanna protect your stuff and make it hard enough to discourage vandals from entering your flat? If you cut open an entrance through the wall of the next door flat and disguise it, you could place cinderblocks and mortar behind the original entrance door to your flat. That way, it's be very hard to get in and vandals might move to an easier target. Your hidden entrance could be inside a closet or behind a refrigerator. You'd need to put the refrigerator on small caster wheels and attach the back of it to a door that you would install. I'm sure you could have some fun thinking of ways to make the entrance a secret. Don't show the entrance in your videos lol. Also, one of you might want to find the electric power meter, remove it, wire up a jumper (to bypass the meter) then replace the meter so it looks normal, but doesn't show any power has been used. Good luck.

I recommend you guys do Asbestos Awareness Training - it's in the tiles, in porcelain, toilet bowel, toilet sink, it was mixed with artex (sprayed decorative coatings) it was in cement tiles - is you are sweeping the floor or kicking up the dust then you are risking inhaling it and getting contaminated (asbestos related diseases take 5-50 years to develop, it's never immediate). Take care guys

In order to stop people from getting into your new flat. I would say build a false wall in front of the door. Then bang it up to match the rest of the place. That way, anyone coming in will just think there's nothing there unless they know the layout of the specific flat.

If you're still doing this, you should get a small FM transmitter with amplifier, little microphone with audio sensor relay. When audio is detected, it switches relay to power transmitter and sends microphone. On the roof, put yagi antenna aiming to your destination. Choose an FM transmitter than has a weird frequency so nobody detects the signal. You could use a little two way VHF/UHF radio module hooked up to amplifier. Now you have a super long range security system and you can hear who is coming. You could try video link, but it won't travel so far because of wideband higher frequency signal. You need lower frequency audio signal for best range.

They could, but they would have to be extremely careful about it, especially since other buildings are higher up and give better vantage points to be spotted. If someone sees something 'too clean', it would be worth investigating. Though they should really cover the glass of the door of the flat they are in.

I can't believe you dusted like that. If there's any worry of radioactive dust then you should be using a damp rag to not kick the dust up, and a small container to rinse it in and collect the possibly contaminated water. Then you can dump that into a deep hole where the dust won't be carried in the wind.
