Everytime from Britney is a very difficult song too sing, the're is much emotion in it you can't sing it unless you can feel the pain and the know meaning of the song. Cher did a good job :)

This song is very hard to sing, so many have over sung this or throw the wrong keys in because its so simple that a person with great vocal ability have a hard time with it yet Cher is one of the only few that can pull it off flawlessly and with her own personal touch :)

How’s it a hard song to sing lmfao ?

All I can honestly comprehend, is how 1D can walk away barely showing any emotion in their songs, and then You see Cher here, singing such a powerful song, capturing the emotions of the piece, in tears because singing is her passion. Everytime is so difficult to sing because you have to understand what pain really feels like to sing it properly. I honestly, didn't think 1D was that good at singing, the real reason they made it through was for 1. Looks, 2. Fan Base 3. Simon. Cher came thorugh because of 1. Passion 2. Carrier 3. Support. This is what she believed in, and you could tell in this song! Overall great performance!

She wasn't being "pitchy" she wasn't "doing too much" she was putting all of the emotions into the song and it worked really well as you can tell by her current career

No. It was very pitchy, and she tries too hard without having the control to do so. She barely nails a single line. She was obviously emotional but training and control would help her a lot.

Well Leona Lewis did She got compered to Mariah Carey plus she made a shit load of number ones pretty much instantly all of her songs have been number ones all over the charts and when she went to America she took America by storm and not long after that she was known world wide so yeah no X-Factor has been even close to Leona Lewis's one...

I didn't care about Cher lloyd a few hours ago, but after seing her vids on KZread on how she made it in XFactor, her charisma, originality and emotions that she gave on all of her performance, I now admire her! she may not be the winner, but she has that something inside her which can totally capture everyones heart!

Simon put it perfectly, one of them could leave the competition with pride and a future, the other was make or break. If Cher didn't get the exposure, she wouldn't stand a chance against the highly competitive music industry. Mary had her own life outside of the competition that she could return to, for Cher, it was either make her career or nothing at all.

This performance is very emotional. I can feel her pain. It breaks my heart.

Let's face it.. cher lloyd would sell millions of records.. the other one wouldn't hit the chart 100.. we live in a superficial world.

Cher's American fans can now see what drama and tension X-factor was when it was live here in the UK. Cher and One Direction had the greatest charisma but the voting public and audience were not the record buying public and neither act won. For me Cher had the greatest talent by a mile.

It's a good cover, but not as good as the original. I'm not hating, she did the song justice and gave it her own touch. But I saw comments saying it's better than the original, it's not. Most people butcher this song though. Cher and Kelly Clarkson are probably the only exceptions I've seen. Good artists.

Nothing beats Britney's version but Cher did an amazing job!

In my opinion there's a difference in being a good singer which there are many many people out there that are and being able to make somebody feel something with emotion

She hit every note and slide perfectly. Wow. Goosebumps!

What's really weird about Cher is that she always wanted to be the cool singer rapping and mixing it up, but every time she's up to be eliminated, she sings a sad song and then would say she didn't want to be that kind of artist. Very clever manipulation by someone.

Yeah that may be, but she would then be really aggressive when the judges commented that they liked her style better when she sang them. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying, as much as pointing out it might have made more sense for her to have chilled a little about her preferred style of rap when she was using ballads to keep her in the show week after week.

SparkleLobster when she sang "stay" in a week, i dont remember which one, she did it because of all the haters saing she couldn't sing and just rap, and it got her the spotlight for that week she got the first place that week, and it showed everybody shes got some good high notes, i think when you are singing for survival you are supposed to give your 110% and that may be the reason why she didn't rap back then

It's so funny that she has made it so much further with her career than Rebecca and Matt. (At least in America anyway.)

Every damn cover of this song disappoints me but yet again only Britney has an angelic voice she has set the bar so high nobody can even attempt this song without failing

I have to be honest, I liked Cher's version better than Britney's, especially the high notes. It's just that Cher did it more than justice, because obviously she was singing for survival in the competition, but in this performance, there was more substance to the song and thank you Cher Lloyd, your hard work has paid off and your performance left me in tears.

+Richie Bustamante She sang it live on the Onyx Hotel tour you can look it up on youtube easily lol. And this is not better by any stretch of the imagination. Whenever anyone else covers this song it always sounds atrocious, even Kelly Clarkson who is AMAZING didn't sound good with this song.
