I born and brought up in Chennai, now live in Sweden, I miss Chennai a lot,

from Malaysia, my great grandparents came from Tamil Nadu! This is the first city in India i visited 15 years ago and loved it! Would live here in a heartbeat!

Iam Hyderabad local, I lived in Hyderabad almost 17 years since I born. I think Chennai is so hot. Iam naturally very fair skinned person but when I move south india my skin becomes dark.

I am a descendent of that part of the world and have never been there or to India at all. My grandparents parents were taken from there to another part of world as indentured labourers to cultivate sugar cane.Even here I see the difference, those that came from north don't care about cleanliness, but those from the south cleanliness and orderliness is part of life.

Chennai is known for multifaceted all round development. Food in normal hotels in streets very reasonable and cost of living too. But politically it remains volatile. Drainage especially during rains do not move fast and occasional blocks flooding areas , is serious problem.

After the corona was over, I went to chennai and stayed for a month or so. I had the habit of getting lost quite often in this massive city. But people went out of their way to deliver me to my address. Women were extremely caring. Can't forget Laxmi amma who used to cook me fish curry and other north indian dishes once she discovered I couldn't take the flavour of curry leaves in every dish. Beautiful city, beautiful people. Only one thing bothered me. Chennai is super hot. Moving without ac car was a nightmare.

As a Tamizhan, Don't come to Chennai in summer its very hot😢 otherwise good😶🥱🇮🇳

It's quite better decision. For the calamities (Heat/Pollution/Garbage) which you face in Delhi are indeed Fatal to your health... while you will have to face Humidity in Chennai. But, it's Not fatal & it's only till first 6 months, then, your body will get adapted to that weather, just as other people there. In addition, the enormous benefits (various foods, traditional as well as harmonious living, goodness of Indian culture, mind-blowing nearby tourist places of nature, etc) which you experience in Chennai will be evergreen in your life.
