Hi sir, what if you given the number of moles. Do you use the 150 grams as actual yield. How would you find the theoretical yield, when only one mass is given?
You are the best thanx given to you.

So sir knowing Which one is LIMITING REACTANT it is important
Iron reacts with oxygen to form iron(III) oxide according to the chemical equation below. What is the theoretical yield of product when 5.00 grams of Fe react with excess O2? [Molar masses: Fe, 55.85 g/mol; O, 16.00g/mol] 4Fe(s) + 3O2(g) → 2Fe2O3(s) how can i solve this question?

Please go and watch my Stoichiometry playlist and you give me the answer afterwards
Can you please do a case where maybe you are given the percentage yield and maybe they ask for the mass or actual volume. Is there ever a case where they give you the percentage purity and then require you to find the value of when it was impure?

Hi, The point is to empower you with enough content so that you’re ultimately answer those questions yourself. Come now, think a bit.

Are we always given a balanced equation in exam??
@MlungisiNkosi

For Grade 12, yes... I would however suggest that you learn how to balance chemical reaction as best practice
Greetings Sir.How do you know which element is the ideal or actual Yield?
@MlungisiNkosi
Жыл бұрын
The actual yield is often given and the ideal one is what you get if you use up all your limiting reactant
Sir how do we know that aluminum is our limiting reagent?
@MlungisiNkosi

We will be told that or they will tell us that other substance it is reacting with is in excess
