It was the last ever FA Cup semi final that we had at Highbury. I am a Arsenal fan.

Gutted as a Dons fan. We had a very good side that season. Zola back heel for 2nd was superb.

Tough opponent Chelsea played magnificently all over the field .Amazing feeling and emotions from the fans , players and coaching staff at the end when we won Chelsea Chelsea

It was much better when semi-finals were played in neutral venues other than Wembley.

Same day Chesterfield scored in the last minute to make it 3-3 against Middlesbrough!

Does anyone know why the semi final was played at Highbury? Why was Villa Park not used like normal?

London teams generally played at Highbury and Wimbledon, with respect, didn't have the biggest fan base, so Highbury made sense. The other semi that year was played at Hillsborough.

If both clubs were from London or South East South West coast clubs, the semi finals tended to be played at Highbury or White Hart Lane
