Chelsea Handler; Dating in Covid, Stand Up Specials, and Therapy - Episode 40

I've been a long time fan of comedian, Chelsea Handler, for her unfiltered jokes, and off the cuff banter. I couldn't think of a more perfect guest to wrap out Season 1 before we go on hiatus! Join us as we talk about her escaping LA in the middle of the Pandemic, seeking therapy, her dating life, and her new HBO Max standup special. We had a good laugh, but also got deep, which was a pleasant surprise!

I agree with everyone saying Lisa cut her off too much. That's the biggest problem I find with celebrity podcasts, they're so used to being the interviewed one that's it's hard for them not to make every conversation about Them. Also shocked that Chelsea didn't call her out on it

this is by far the most revealing Ive ever heard Chelsea. she is speaking tons & tons about very intimate stuff so you people are literally talking crap. she clearly feels comfortable with Lisa & they are chatting like good friends. If you heard yourself chatting with friends youd also be cutting each other off at times its what you do when immersed in great convos. Its not liek a formal interview.

Heather and Lisa are great at conversations. They talk to them as you would a friend and not A therapist. A therapist will let you speak to the end. A friend asks questions upon questions and get answers that we probably wouldn’t get. Like quick with it Answers. I enjoy these types of conversations. They are real.

This interview really bothered me. Let someone answer a question and then digest the details. Don't ask a follow-up that was clearly just answered moments ago. It shows you weren't listening, and it happened many times here. I adore Lisa, but apart from comedic banter, she showed she had no idea how to handle true therapeutic discourse. I applaud Chelsea for handling the interruptions and ridiculous repetitions in stride.

Dating for me tho is more like that too ..the least smallest things will turn me right off quick but especially with political views too. I cant stand these men hollering or sputtering about not wanting to wear a mask or thinking still its not real bcz of the numbers ?? What the heck does that even mean 😭🤮 im glad weve evolved as women tho and can stand up more than ever & embrace our ages 🙌🏻🔥💕👑💖💯💯

I think Lisa asks great questions, so I was surprised. I think she just needs to realize that she can't ask ALL of them. Also, for comedians they like to tell jokes and hit punchlines, so you have to give them the space to do that. Lisa kind of steps on her ability to do that by going right into another question.

My son bought me a small toy poodle when he left for Uni & my ex never called her by her name, he called her the rat. She was such a lovely girl she still used to greet him when he came home, every time, and all he'd say was Get Off Rat, I hated him for that. He'd never think to feed her, put her out to toilet etc, let alone a cuddle. He turned out to be a cruel narcissistic man. Listen to Mum!

Chelsea said she was 9 when her brother passed, and not even 30 seconds later “how old were you” I also agree with most comments about cutting off the guest. First Paris Hilton podcast, then this one? What is going on with Handler? This is the people she tends to detest the most. Is it her new outlook on life? Still a fan of hers though.

Probably a money thing, most of these bigger podcasts offer money for an interview. So COVID probably hit Chelsea hard. And she needs the exposure for people to check out and like the content she puts of (for the money). definitely her managers doing! I love her though so I’m fine with it hahah

@@rylieghvoss4183 It’s to promote her new podcast and her tour - this is very common. Like when people go on a press tour for new movie / music / tv show / book etc..

I know what Chelsea is saying about men and their comments turning her off. I haven't met a decent man in many years and am not into online bs. I just don't go out with them anymore. Very peaceful. :)

I used to wait up to watch Chelsea lately, but even then there was something off about her but now she is ten time worse.
