I don’t find Chelsea to be a reliable narrator at all and she takes zero accountability. If a man acted as controlling and manipulative as she did on the show, everyone would say he’s emotionally abusive. She was emotionally abusive on the show and it doesn’t seem like she gets what was so wrong with her behavior.

chelsea going into "defense" mode and taking zero accountability is really sad. lacking any self awareness, and blaming the edit for your bad behavior only highlights your personality issues even further.

@@FloatingInSpace5702I don’t know. I wonder about her specifics and ability to remember facts once they pass. We saw her accuse Jimmy of not giving her a kiss when he did, twice. Around 20% of people have an anxious attachment style and that could be a factor. If you are interested, check out Psychology in Seattle where Dr. Kirk does a deep dive into their big fight. I think I become anxiously attached at times as well so I found it interesting.

Then the bff outed herself because after that meetup, everyone and their damn mother knew they had a sexual history. Not to mention, Jimmy chose to have them on (and I think he did it bcuz THEY wanted to be on tv and he wanted to score points w the sex buddy), they only knew each other for 2 yrs and had a sexual past and he thought that would be appropriate. Not only all of that, but Chelsea ONLY brought it up in response to his lie….he says “I’ve never done anything physical with them” fully expecting Chelsea to keep up his lie/good edit, then has the nerve to be mad at HER about it?! ​@@jolielucI could be wrong but I think they're referring to Jimmy telling her in the pods that he doesn't go out that much and then after they get out of the pods he's spending a lot of time going out hanging out with friends. Also according to Chelsea apparently Jimmy would threaten to go out more or to talk to people that she didn't like more when she would ask him to stop or to scale it back. Or possibly their referring to the last day where he took her to his favorite amusement park or his favorite ride and made it seem like they were really going to get through this to then dump her as soon as they get off of the ride. I'm still catching up on interviews so maybe there's more but that's all I heard.

I imagine it's challenging because they can't talk about their experience with people outside the show until after it airs. So she had 10 months between filming and airing, and seeing the cast when they do press, etc. even though they aren't together, and I agree with you, I wouldn't want to be friends with Jimmy, there's an element of living in a bubble together. They can't even really date anyone else because it would ruin the outcome of the season if others knew they weren't together.

Chelsea would benefit from taking more accountability for things like drinking so much and owning some of the insecurity that we all saw. It doesn't make her a bad person, just someone who needs growth. When she said "I'm responsible for my happiness" I thought that is something she has learned since filming.

It feels like Chelsea is alive and well in this comment section- using yet another pseudonym. No one believes Jimmy “played her” to “get a good edit”. So many men attempt this (like Jaramey and Trevor for example) but Jimmy’s sincerity feels very real. Chelsea’s behavior was and is who she is when she’s either drunk, feeling threatened by another woman, “sad”, or “uncomfy”. Come on, people! The show did not set out to make Chelsea look insecure and possibly borderline. She is obviously both. This isn’t a crime. What is criminal is her continuous refusal to take personal responsibility for her own outcome.

I think Chelsea navigated all this best she could, being highlighted at her “worsts”.. I do believe she’s such a good person. These shows cast certain people for a reason and even when she gives insight on productions “suggestions”, they know how to get good TV out of these people after all the interviews during casting. I really appreciate hearing Chelsea’s perspective and knowing that the show creators were telling her to bring up issues. I have heard about this exact thing from others who have been on reality shows, and she shouldn’t be judged for bringing things up when she was told to do so. Watching the show initially I felt like she only brought up negatives in response to Jimmy speaking positively, but I see the truth on that now. Reality shows are not just “let’s record reality,” they poke the bear for better ratings and more money.

Ok.. I had no idea that everyone was saying their celeb lookalikes I wish the show included that. Ben said he looks like Jude Law... weird they didn't show these other people doing the same thing.

I saw someone referring to this interview about why Jimmy is such a jerk and Chelsea has been totally misunderstood this season. I can agree that theres several sides of a story but this was back peddling back and forth and it doesn’t match off. I started off watching an interview with her and jimmy for elf cosmetics, where she doesn’t exclude them being together in the future, keeping the option open, and them telling each other how much love they have for each other and that they are friends still. And here she is bashing him like mad but still saying they are on great terms. She says she regrets her delivery on her arguments, and then later on says she regrets nothing, only saying the megan fox thing which I guess is because it affects her directly with the comments she has gotten and not the fact it has an effect on others like the arguments had. And in other interviews or on after the rose she says she is working on herself and going to therapy. But here she says she is very confident and theres no issues, only that she cries easily. Her behavior was super toxic, I understand it was only a part of your story and that other parts were great that wasn’t shown. And the pocket dialing was a bit of a jerk move for sure if that happened the way you were saying. But taking at least a bit of accountability changes a lot and I really don’t see that happening here in this interview. I do wish you good luck though because this dating setting is not ideal for anyone, it puts so much pressure on people to succeed in a short time span and creates unnecessary stress on a new couple.

Chelsea has taken ownership for her reactions but anyone who feels like she needs to continuously apologize is weird. First of all she owes nothing to any of us and perhaps people need to reflect where all of the hatred comes from. Perhaps she triggers something in others that is unhealed.

Chelsea was a rare chubby woman/person on 'reality' TV. Chubby/fat people are often bullied. I wonder who was the 1st person on their recent season, season 6, to compare their looks to a 'celebrity' (whether their opinion or others' opinions)? Who did that before Chelsea did? Chelsea seemed to claim that Jimmy did go out with/talk to alleged female friends way(?) more than the show depicted. She said that both she &(!) Jimmy thought that he would get the ''bad' guy 'edit.'' Then the show aired & Chelsea mostly got the ''bad' edit.' If you've never been chubby (or fat) (or any other 'abnormal' physical appearance), you have no idea what being bullied for your looks is like, especially in 'reality' TV, where 'Barbies' & 'Kens' are common (also pretty common in real life, depending where you are). Jimmy has chubby/fat family members himself. Chelsea clearly said, as I recall, 'People have *told* me I look like Megan Fox, but I *don't* see it,' after(!) other(s) had also allegedly said they resembled 'celeb(s).' Would Jimmy have picked Jess over Chelsea, even though he really didn't seem to want to be a step-dad, if not for the 'Megan Fox' thing? Probably. He said he wouldn't ask Jess on a date 'out of respect for Chelsea,' but he might go on a date with A.D.? Who knows. I would say that Kaitlyn resembles Megan Fox more than Chelsea, & Kaitlyn said she's also been told she resembles Megan Fox. Kaitlyn called herself a ''Dollar Store' Megan Fox,' which is humble, but also 'kind-of' insulting to herself. What plastic surgery have Megan Fox & other 'celebs' had done? I've heard that most 'celebs' have fake teeth, for example. I respect that Kaitlyn, Chelsea & others have admitted they've done (risky(!)) 'Botox,' which is humble & honest (everyone(!) with plastic surgery, fake teeth, etc. should publicly(!) admit it, like them, I believe, to show it's not their 'natural' looks).

Being critical of bad behavior isn’t hate. She is responsible for her speech and actions. I do not trust Chelsea’s perception, her distorted reality. She is projecting her insecurities onto the relationship. And she destroys it. Jimmy isn’t perfect but FFS he tried way too hard to get blamed for any of it.

The host is soooooo annoying. She loves the sound of her own voice. It’s not about you!!!!
