The 4.2.2.2 looked to me like back 4 with a diamond midfeild and two on top.looked really good.lakaku-havertz...lakaku-werner looks promising.midfeild diamond is so good with zyech as a 10 with 2 8's .combos of kante..mount..kovotic..rlc.with j5 at the bottom tip of diamond

Whether by design or forced to do so by the late loss of Silva and Kante the system changed. We were 442 with the ball. 451 without. Of the 6 in midfield 5 were attack players. At times the opposition were dragged all over. This suited us and gave Ziyech the running targets for his passing and crossing. If Tenganga doesn't head the ball for the second goal it's going through for a Havertz tap in on the back post. Had the finishing been clinical we would already be in the final. Sky Sports showed a graphic where Ziyech was first in 5 or 6 aspects. He was my man of the match Sky's and fans in the clubs 5th Stand app.

Ziyech was brilliant and showed other sides to his game that people hadn't seen. Even Sarr played well in the back four.

@@ChelseaPerspective Ziyech showed what I had seen countless times in an Ajax shirt. I knew he could do the nitty gritty too Ajax manager Ten Hag has instilled that Into the current Ajax side too. But the high tempo quick pass and move total football is still there.

In the chat of one channel somebody described Ziyech as awful what can one say other than he has an agenda against accepting certain players.....however at the Stadium the supporters as expected for me were supportive of Lukaku.

Some in the community have been asking for a back4 for a while now, we saw a glimpse of what this squad might do in a 433 yesterday. Let's see if we start using it more often in cup games and against the oppositions in EPL where the other team isn't pressing too hard.

It turns out, people were right. However, I don’t think Thomas Tuchel would utilize that formation until reinforcements arrive. Why: Most of the defenders available now seem to be system players.

@@ChelseaPerspective 😅🤭 or 442 or 451, I cudn't keep up with the shape changes, atleast not from the televised footage.. made me wanna be at the Bridge for this one to see the whole pitch and the structure changes in different phases. I agree, TT will not use back 4 again, but it was nice to see it can be very effective on its day!

It was good to watch as the players attacked Spurs with ease. I have rewatched it three times, and I am still watching it.

Who said rudiger cant play in a back four?not on this showing.he was very good it can work with silva or christenson.my only worry is full back in this system to wingbacks who beat players taking them out of the game.has speed to go up an down with good lungs.alonso best work is over the halfway line.my choice dwight mcneil of burnley .young.fresh.fast.good recovery pace.lb and kounde we would be unbeatable
