The thing that a lot of people forget is that 99% of the game footage people post, especially speed runs, are all from great/near perfect rng with the boss. They make it look like it's easy and normal in their videos lol but it's the furthest thing from the norm.

It actually worked, wow. I beat every other boss in the DLC within a few attempts, but I was stuck on this guy for about 3-4 days with no real progress being made in phase 2. I used this build and beat him within 5 or so attempts. Thank you.

Because the 2nd phase has nothing to do with normal gameplay for solo. There is shield or there is colossal weapon with buffs and try to stagger and nothing in between that makes sense except you are overleveled like crazy or want to lose much nerves and go crazy because terrible game design w/ the boss. And with lvl 180 you are so high lvl that the game is a joke and NG+, sadly.

Y’all gotta stop falling for the trap before the fight. Stop summoning the characters. Just use your mimic with a colossal and charge attack with the charge attack tear in your physick. all the way home. Use a shield to guard some hard attacks if you must. Trust me. It’s not even close to as bad as Malenia anymore. 🤣

My nerves are just about fried after 2 days of attempts and no consistent progress. I found your video and got to work on trying it for myself. Immediately got results with nearly beating him first attempt and success a few attempts later. On behalf of my sanity and everyone who has struggled with this boss thank you very much.

@@nero4624 you shouldn't "have to change your build". Also, summoning others, as everyone knows, makes the boss fight harder. Makes it more unpredictable and gives the boss a 60% health increase.

Nice. Managed it after a few attempts. I was on the verge of insanity trying so many different things.

After spending 8 hours (not in total) of being stuxk on him, i got so familar with his his attack combo, but i could not figute out how to get past and dodge his light. After mimicing this build, i beat him in 1 try. You saved me from having s stroke, goated build

if you cant stun him when he's standing there after the phase 2 transition you can heavy attack him again when he's floating up in the air and that stuns him and you can get immunity to the explosion by doing the riposte

Thank you so much I was having a nervous breakdown on him lmao + I would add this for others : I was in NG+4 so the heavy attacks doesnt stun him. But the lion claws one do so at the beginning of phase 2, rush at him and do the lion claws just when he starts floating and as someone else said you can avoid the explosions by doing the riposte. Then you can again break his stance with the tears and 2 lion claws for ending it. Only use heavy attacks for blood loss in ng+, not for stun.

@@joshuastoll6808 ye like he said, at a site of grace you click on ashes of war then select the weapon, choose a ashes (lion claws is very good indeed) then select bleed as affinity (it's after you choose the ashes) and you're done

@@bettergamingringno matter how many times I hit him with charged attacks or lions claw, his stance will not break, plus my mimic tear dies if like 5 hits (plus 10) I don’t know what to do to beat him

For those who do not seem to have the same blood loss build-up, make sure your attributes match Bettergamingring's, otherwise it will show lower (however, I had it 180 and it was still good enough). Thanks for the tips and everything, it worked great!

@@Goofiestbloke I got mine to 218. I'm at 80 arcane and in the video he's at 81. Also I didn't use a Ancient Dragon smithing stone so my weapon is at +24 and not +25.

How did you get 223 blood loss. I did everything in the video, but I only have 128 blood loss

Wow thanks for this. It was still crazy hard. I actually died and my mimic killed him just before the loading screen so they gave it to me! Had a harder time with Melania overall but this was some nonsense.

Just beat him with most of this build. I used a great shield and the golden braid talisman. I also had rot breath incantation equipped and a seal so my mimic tear would use it occasionally. It still took me about 10 or so tries, but I finally beat him!

i highly suggest going down with the jar to med. Load - If i cant equip a whole armor set im just trying out what combinations work iwth changeing the leg and hand armor, hope that helps, scadutree level was 10 at this time

Rerolled my dude to 99 heath and stamina. Just stats enough to use my favorite bonker. Put on those talismans except charged attack. Put on boosted defense if heavy load talisman. Put on the heaviest armor and matching shield. How many people can say they beat this twink-caped mf while fat rolling? Still can't believe THAT'S what worked for me after 4 hours of trying.

Thank you for your build Didn’t know high Arcane works like a charm I used a heavy thrusting spear with blood loss instead because I can guard and attack at the same time and it’s super safe!

I like how he doesn’t one-shot you but he one-shots me.

@@bettergamingring I DID IT! I don’t know how many tries it took me (I’d say minimum 15) but I finally did it! I realised that some attacks you can just run around instead of rolling which gave me time to use my flasks. And I decided to give up on timing my roles and instead just spam the roll button and it worked! FUCK YOU RADAHN (he’s the best character imo).

1:10 if you run a bit and jump to the side when the rocks come to you, pressing jump with the timing you would use to dodge, you will always avoid those rocks with 100% accuracy

I’m on NG+6 and was over 150 attempts into this fight before realizing I need to change strategies. This is the first video I found. 3rd attempt after switching? Demolished him! Well done tarnished!

What the heck is "Bloodfiend's Blood Arm?" Not listed in the Wiki. I have "Bloodfiend's Arm", but it has no blood loss(?).

Put on an ash of war with the blood affinity and it turns into a bloodfiends 'blood' arm and the blood loss scales with arcane

Lol I had given up after tons of attempts, then got him first try with this build at lvl 170 (19 scadu). Big thanks man!

He doesnt stagger when i R2 him in second phase, even with the physick

RIP, the blood affinity dealing more damage was just patched for this today. I used this build to beat Miquelladahn for the first time last week. Thanks for the showcase before this glorious cheese was patched.

I can do this build but sense I want to complete the 2 npc quest, summoning them, the health bar of the boss increases and their poise and other status resistance. Another thing is where is his hit box, i tried this build, use the weapon and hit him with a heavy attack, it rarely input as such. Can anyone give me advice for this boss fight, I'm in ng+3

in ng+ its the same just with more skill needed obviously, my tip is to learn his patterns, it will help you to dodge this combos and then youll have more than enough time to hit himwith a fully charged heavy, just literally dodge his attacks

The arm is located near the top of the area theyre at. It's on one of the feinds atop the castle.

Using the strat right now. I've gotten radahn all the way down to the first part of his name before I gave up for the time being. Came back later in the day and beat him in two tries. I changed up things by adding white mask to my helmet and lord of bloods exaltation.

Works everytime like 40% of the times. Unironically though thanks for the build. This is basically the "slave knight Gael at home", one of fromsoft's worst bosses. This helped a lot!!!
