thats an insane error, id guess worth a couple thousand at a minimum. handle that thing with gloves and keep it safe. get it graded if you can

That sounds crazy. I know nothing about coins, but I do know that an error with the wrong denomination stamped on the back has got to be very rare… unless this was intentional for some reason. But still sounds rare.

I rmemeber getting these from my grandparents house. They kept them up for me. Once my grandma died. My grandpa got ill had to have a house nurse ans she stole all of his collection. I bet in todays world, his collection would've been in the mid 6 figures.

I bought a car a few years ago and I paid 1000 $ in quarters and gold and silver dollars, (not real silver) but S.B.A. dollars.... I was looking through rolls trying to find one! Found some rather interesting coins, found a few with the strong tail feathers. But the guy I bought the car from, did the smart thing & gave it to his mom

Hi there. I don't usually spend a lot of time on KZread or any other place on my phone but I've got to tell you that when I see you pop up and start to talk about a certain coin or dollar i do watch because you are the only one that I see anyway that give people like me who aren't coin collectors a chance to make some money or who knows maybe clean up. So I don't have this cereal coin but I have a 2000 P Sacagawea dollar that as far as I know no one else has talked about or has and from watching your videos I know that could be a very good thing. So my coin does have a line from the side of the coin going all the way up through the wing and it happens to go through the initials and completely destroys them. It looks like a blob of initials! I was going to send you a picture of my coin but it wouldn't let me. Also it's not graded and it's been in circulation. I do not have the money to get it graded but also not sure if I have anything worth more than a dollar either. I would really like to sell it but have no idea what I have or where to even start? I also see a lot of regular people trying to sell coins on eBay and to be honest I can't tell if they are deliberately out to rip someone off or if they will get ripped off and so the whole thing makes me a little leary about putting it out there at all. If you have the time and are okay with maybe helping me out with this, it would definitely be appreciated. Times are really tough right now and I could use the money. I also feel like one of these days I'm going to have that perfect coin at the right time.. My needle in a haystack and maybe find out that, that coin I found in the street that I always pick up will be that lucky coin or that perfect coin or even that needle in a haystack that not only will it be worth enough to pay up my bills but maybe be worth even more than that and for a second at least I can stop the hamster wheel and breathe a second.

You and me both. I saw this big announcement years ago and checked mine through the little bag: not a one. A fat zero out of nine. All still in OG bags, all out of Cheerios boxes. I'm guessing they only came out of Cheerios boxes, but there was no gaurantee it'd be the "detailed feather" version if it did...

I heard from a few friends who collect coins and stamps that they were decreasing in value because young people don’t care about coins, stamps or currency and they’re flooding the market with inherited collections they don’t want. Is any of this true? Anyone? Thanks

Technically speaking nothing collectable is worth anything...one example is that stupid plastic they call Funko Pop....but people value them. It's amazing how much value we ascribe to worthless things 😂

sounds like it would be so. if everyone suddenly gave up their steel pennies and nobody actually cared about them, theyd be worth one cent in any condition. it's only because we care about them that theyre worth anything

Huh? There weren't special golden ones made. They all looked like that. I worked at a bank at the time and missed out on hoarding em.

Damn I have 3 of them somewhere in an old piggy bank I remember getting them in the cheerios boxes and being super excited about it then my grandma got one and she gave it to me then my dad's coworker got one and he also gave it to me.

I have always been into coins since I could basically walk. My step dad was HUGE into metal detection and collecting and trading! But we never really spoke about coins worth. So I have started all over from scratch since his family stole thousands if not in the millions of dollars worth of collectable super rare coins.... I have a few random quarter, Nicole, dimes, silver dimes, mercury dimes and a questionable quarter I need someone to tell me what is going on with this quarter??!! That is awesome I have a question I have a half dollar I have had in my wallet for a while. Just as my lucky half dollars but then I looked more into it sounds like a silver half dollar but it is a 1971 but not a full silver I think it is more like 40% but my question is that does this picture look like it is double died or is just me or should I get this looked at more.
