    There are some crazy and really creative stunts in this video! Wow wow wow! Also 5:46 can't tell if Gabi is just the best flyer ever or they always give her the best bases or maybe it's a combination of the two

    just because they have a show on here does not mean that they are going to win worlds or not. the judges at world may not know if the teams have shows or not. any cheer team can have a show.

    To those asking, this is International Open Coed (level 5). I believe the minimum age is 15, but not 100% on that, and there is no age max. And they do not compete against Smoed not are they Large Coed, all 3 are completely different divisions.

    What does international team mean

  • @DancerDude

    @DancerDude

    9 жыл бұрын

    Basically under USASF, there are 4 international divisions. These 4 divisions are open divisions (Aged 14 yrs & above) and are split by level 5 & 6/Coed & All-girl. They're called "international" because they compete against teams from other countries at the World Championships. Only 3 teams per country are allowed to qualify for finals - so on top of making sure you beat teams from other countries, you have to make sure you score top 3 in your country as well. All American-based teams would have competed at least 3 times at Worlds to win: 1.) Make the top 10 cut off at U.S. trials 2.) Followed by making the top 10 at semis with an additional requirement of making the top 3 from the U.S. 3.) All this before you compete at finals which would make your third performance for the weekend at Worlds. This format is unique to the international divisions and the international divisions only.

  • @lizthewizz96

    @lizthewizz96

    9 жыл бұрын

    oh wow thank you I have being so confused before hand, one more thing can international teams not compete in other devisions ? I also thought level 5 was the highest team? Thank you !

  • @DancerDude

    @DancerDude

    9 жыл бұрын

    lizthewizz96 Well, teams from outside of the U.S. are actually allowed to compete in the Senior divisions (Small, Medium & Large/Coed & All-girl), but it's just not very common (or has even happened before I believe). The reason being most countries don't have allstar cheerleading programs that are as strong as the ones in the U.S. (with the exception of maybe Canada), so to field an entire level 5 team between the ages of 12 to 18 is pretty difficult..... more over, they would be competing against the best of the best in the U.S. if they want to make it into finals at Worlds under the Senior divisions. With the international division, you can play the "3-per-country rule" game - i.e. multiple U.S.teams score higher than non-U.S. ones but they don't make it into the finals because they didn't make top 3 under U.S.A., which means places 4th to 10th are open to the foreign teams in the finals. Basically, your chances of getting into finals as a non-U.S. team is easier in the international division. In addition to that, you can field athletes of 14 yrs old & above which widens the pool of talent by a lot (since a lot of these countries are still developing allstar cheerleading and most of their elite cheerleaders started at an older age). Teams like Gymtyme Black (now Blink) and Top Gun Allstars OO5 (mentioned by Gabi Butler) suffered because of this format. They both came in 4th and 5th respectively at the semi-finals at Worlds last year, but didn't make finals because they failed to make the cut for the top 3 U.S. teams. So yeah, for U.S. teams the international divisions are the most difficult divisions to compete in. And no, level 5 is most definitely not the highest level for cheerleading, level 6 is. The reason why you don't hear much about level 6 in allstar cheerleading is because not many programe choose to field a level 6 team. Level 6 cheerleading is more of a collegiate thing in the U.S., and since in allstar it's only exclusive to the open divisions most college-age students would rather put their level 6 skills into a college team rather than an allstar one. That doesn't mean that all college cheerleaders only stick to collegiate cheer, a lot of them double team as well, i.e. cheer for college at level 6 but cheer for allstar at level 5. The main differences between level 6 and 5 are the stunts and tumbling difficulties. Most notably you're allowed 2 and a half-high pyramids, flipping mounts/dismounts and tumbling passes with back-to-back twisting elements (eg. double double). Mind you, collegiate cheer is on hard floor, so you can expect less difficulty in tumbling when it comes to college teams.
