TRUE STORY.
On the way back from a pre-debut shoot from Subic last Saturday night, I was listening to Nikko Ramos' podcast Call to Arms with Ebe Dancel as guest. Ebe just
released a thematic EP about, umm - weddings and played a stripped down version of one of the tracks - Habangbuhay.
I put it on repeat, studying the lyrics, structure and melody.
Sunday morning on the way to our wedding, I resolved to use the track. I knew it was a perfect fit for Cheenee and Jett, fun, easy-going, absolutely hopelessly in love with each other and not shy of letting other people know. The Filipiniana theme was ICING.
I gathered the gumption to message Ebe to ask permission to use his song for the SDE and he generously obliged. I even had the audacity to ask for a video greeting with nary a hesitation from him. This guys is the best I'm telling you.
Put a hundred percent and more (as per usual) cutting this timeline up and I was I am especially proud of the output (as per usual).
You just love it when everything clicks together - the podcast, the track, the wedding. Absolute chef's kiss!
