I saw it at the 41 Drive Inn. Those were some of my favorite times in my life. Even had there albums with Sister Mary Elephant. And sign Zeeee paper old man. .......... I can not sign Zeeee Paper, you've broken both my hands. Todays young people missed out on great teenage years. Playing videos and living there youth indoors.

They're still around, thank goodness. They even put out a new movie about ten or fifteen years ago called "Hey, Watch This!" It was recorded in San Antonio, TX, during their "Light Up America" reunion tour in (I think) 2010 or so. It's all the familiar stuff, all the beloved characters and sketches, only with a few more modern touches, like when Tommy's wife Shelby says, "F*** Bush for putting Tommy in jail!" Trust me, it's well worth a watch.😉

The original music in the movie was credited to "Yesca," which may or may not have included Steve Lukather, who is old friends with Cheech &Chong. Lukather also performed the incredibly bad "Chong solo" from "Next Movie," and was given screen credit by the guys. He said in an interview that he's probably made $100,000 off that movie over the years.🤣

Tommy Chong was a working guitarist long before he ever even met Cheech Marin. Tomny played guitar in several bands, such as "the Calgary Shades," and "Big Daddy & The Bachelors," before hooking up with Bobby Taylor to become "Bobby Taylor & The Vancouvers." The Vancouvers eventually signed with Motown, and had a Top 30 soul hit with "Does Your Mama Know About Me." So yeah, Tommy's got real street cred as a guitarist.😉
