Absolutely invaluable for modelling purposes and a lovely look back to a world gone by. Thanks for posting!

Me and my friend spent a night at wookey Station in the waiting room which was derelict but still intact the date was June 1971 our intention was to go strawberry picking and earn some extra cash we also spent a night in a haybarn near Draycott we had cheddar cheese and crusty bread to eat we never got round to picking any strawberries but it was an enjoyable experience for us both such fond memories

Very enjoyable. My school used to own or rent Lodge Hill station for field trips and I have spent many nights sleeping there.

6:53 Not Westbury on Trym; W-o-T, but Westbury sub Mendip; W-s-M, NO! Not that one either. Well hail fellow, well met. Mr. Clare would be proud of me. Me too, I've spent a number of nights bunked down in the back room of the station building which I remember was always cold and slightly damp ~ even at the end of the summer term, even after the school bought it. Geography field trip to learn about Ox-bow lakes as I recall. Happy memories, thanks for sparking mime again. From one old bugger to another.

Lodge Hill is Westbury-sub-Mendip. It was called Lodge Hill after a nearby hill so not to confuse it with Westbury (Wiltshire) more than Westbury on Trym in Bristol which did not have a station anyway.
