Great Song!!! But could some one give credit or mention the original composer of this song, the late Harcourt White of the Leper Colony Choir Uzuakoli in Abia State in the sixties.

The credit has been duly give to Ikoli Harcourt Whyte through this concert. The concert was in his honor. Held on May 11, 2017 in commemoration of the fortieth anniversary of his death. His first son (Sir Goddy Dagogo) and one of his grandsons (Dr. Somiari) attended the concert.

Concerning the Ikoli Harry White song:Chebe m O Nna, and his other songs, people often ask for the lyrics, forgetting that he didn't actually write out the lyrics. What he usually did was to recite a narrative in relation to the social philosophy or experience of the time, or in relation to the theme of the particular song in question. Then the song will be rendered. Another issue was that the stanzas were not repeated, unlike the chorus, and were mostly rendered in the soprano tune and by women. Which made it difficult for the wordings of a particular song to be distinct or clear.

The only thing left is for us to apply literary art in analysing the song in each given case. In the circumstance ,the context and content of the song will be unravelled.
