This was the reason why hong kong server was filled with bots that just stands around using melee, tactical and ultimate. They were learning there.

Asian servers are the breeding/testing grounds for cheats in all games. Once they are ready they move to their target servers.

Cheating Zombie Bots sounds like a fun enemy in a single player FPS tho!

One similarity between Counter-Strike and Apex Legends is that they both run on the Source engine. CS upgraded theirs. Apex is probably stuck since they forked the engine and made their own developments, but the legacy codebase remains as evidenced on the Save Titanfall hack. At one point, a major patch would have made the game unplayable for weeks. While people blamed the servers, I don't think this would have happened if the code was optimized. I think Respawn will eventually need to rewrite their engine, either upgrading it to Source 2, change their engine, or completely remove the legacy Source codebase, but this will also remove Apex Legends unique movement tech from source engine bugs.

Games like Diabotical specifically reimplemented Quake engine bugs related to movement. Bugs are just code, they can be ported to a different engine.

​​@@skillbomb8823 You're both right and wrong, the mobile version uses Unreal 4. The PC version uses Source. If you Google "What engine does apex use" Google will show UE4, but if you look at the referenced wiki page it will specify that it's for the mobile version.

I feel like Singleplayer games and co-op games are becoming, or will become the main game people play because cheating it getting out of hand in all sorts of games because people are just degenerates.

Honestly this kinda looks like a fun gamemode if it was official.

I just turned 37 yesterday. I played my first game of CS1.6 in 2000. I played FPS games like CS:GO and Apex for over 20 years, and loved it. I played my last FPS round at some point in 2020 because the cheating problem was so widespread and ubiquitous. Multi player FPS games are dead. Cheaters killed the genre. GGs

Yeah, as you said its probably just a handful of people and not something that most players will ever end up experiencing. As for the cheater problem, I started playing apex in S17 and currently have almost 800 hours and have only experienced cheating (not including configs) four times, two of which were back-to-back at 4am on EU servers. I might just be lucky, but I've never found it to be as much of an issue as people make it out to be as it seems to only effect people who are incredibly good at the game or incredibly bad at the game.

The reality is, if u don't experience cheaters on FPS games, u probably aren't a high rank. Hours played is irrelevant

As said in the video this is likely a fringe case where someone with both thousands of hours of knowledge and dollars of equipment is devoting all their time to cause as much damage as possible. Its also plausible that they obtained admin access to player accounts and can use it to manipulate their ingame currency, stats, etc. This issue specifically seems more like the combined failure of not only respawn but also EA and EAC that hopefully nobody else has the knowledge or money to abuse.

Please shed some light on the cheater situation with Rainbow Six Siege. Coverage on it has died down for about a month now but it remains a serious problem the game has had for a few years now. Could be worth looking into.

in lockdown i cheated so hard with 2 others 1 stack in apex legends we reached in 2 weeks top 100 preds we made 4x char double pred badges . and sold them man i miss those times cheating with the wingman & eva8 clipping ppl for months without any problem even boosting ppl for moniess xD
