Thanks so much for posting this video. As someone who's just starting to use After Effects, you've made me feel like expressions aren't out of reach for me. And while it's simple, "Wiggle" will come in very handy for a project I'm about to start working on.

My “God Mode” would be to type what I want it to do in the layer. And walla it does it. Like “make selected object Disintegrate”. So that object then does that function. Boom! 💥 🤯

I would like to include voice control for After Effects, for those times when clients say 'make it a darker blue' or 'slow that animation down' or 'make it square and round and triangular all at the same time'. Being able to yell instructions into the computer and watch it update would be absolutely amazing.

A while back I built an interactive operating system in AE with precomps, guide layers and expressions. It has a lock screen with a password prompt and also showed the current actual system time

I've seen someone do a video where that worked pretty well in premiere, if it was setup right (I suspect it would work in AE too). The video instructor grabbed a single frame of the scene without the person, then he didn't move the camera (tripod). And the person came in the scene but put enough distance between himself and the camera that there was no shadow on the wall. Then he filmed using auto. He said you had to film with auto mode. Then he put the single frame above the footage, dragged it the full length of the footage, then gave the frame a right click and some sort of hold command). Then in layer properties he changed the frame from normal to (either divide or multiply, I'm pretty sure it was divide) then the whole background became white. Then he removed white like you do green screen. It was pretty cool, though he wasn't a perfectionist when it came to getting rid of the edges, still it's a great start. If I find the video. I'll come back and add a link.

My "GOD MODE" would be just to describe whatever you want and then after effects would do the rest for you. No matter how hard or complicated it is That wold be CRAZYYYY dude :)

Hmmmm. i would automate easy ease in/out because i need this all the time for smooth animations. I’m not very knowledged about after effects. I’m re-learning it because I forgot what I learned in uni. But I also want hot keys for cutting layer sections in the timeline and preview panel like premiere pro. Maybe once I learn more of after effects, hopefully I can learn more about this coding looking stuff xD

If I could cheat in After Effects, I would include a microphone option, where I can tell AE what to do and it would do it for me!

I could go for a "Level skip" code for those projects you're getting a little too tired of.

Wow. What a difference of quality. So much valuable info for the community. Now that they have gone AI, i feel the quality of this channel suffered. I love that their tone def uploads during the strike pushed other channels to focus more on practical fx. its unfortunate these guys lost their way and stopped caring for artists, instead praising AI that devalues and steals from creatives. AI, for me, has shown me who on yt has real passion for art and who us just another carbon copy cutout channel.

I would enable stick figure mode, which would make whatever animation I’m working on come to life, and start moving around the screen finishing whatever it is I’m trying to complete. These animations which I’m working on I’ll customise so I can have Shrek editing my video.

An expression that would understand and make what the client wants and means when he says "I like it but let's try something different"

I would add a mode in which I could connect my brain in to the pc and let it read my mind so it can create what I want exactly as I want it without any editing. That would be kinda nice.

After effects needs to switch to node base it will be a power house if it does especially creating essential graphics via a node editor

I would enable cheat mode AI deep learning. Like that everything would be possible. 😉
